Ilovethebomb,

The chances of there being wide scale unrest after the election are pretty high actually. I think they have a point.

Ilovethebomb,

It’s very safe, middle of the road humour, that’s certainly true.

Exploding toilet at a Dunkin’ store in Florida left a customer filthy and injured, lawsuit claims (apnews.com)

After the explosion left Kerouac covered in human feces, urine and debris, he walked out of the men’s room seeking help from workers and the store’s manager, according to the lawsuit. An employee told him that they were aware of the “problem with the toilet” since there had been previous incidents, the lawsuit says,...

Ilovethebomb,

Whoever says that needs to be slapped until they stop being audibly stupid. Of course there is such a thing as bad press.

Ilovethebomb,

Iraq is definitely better off than they were under Saddam, if you want a more recent example.

Ilovethebomb,

a million dead Iraqis

Source?

Ilovethebomb,

Rigid are mostly Milwaukee tools but cheaper.

Ilovethebomb,

I actually did a lot of research on this when I bought my first battery tools, knowing this would be the case, and decided they had a decent range of everything I’d likely need.

I went with AEG.

Ilovethebomb,

Yes, Festool do one for their sanders. A battery tool is usually more expensive and less powerful than a mains powered tool though, so I’m not sure what the advantage of this would be.

Ilovethebomb,

Just buy a mains powered tool, they’re usually cheaper anyway.

Ilovethebomb,

I’ve got AEG, which is basically yellow Milwaukee anyway.

Ilovethebomb,

You do lose power through those, so they’re not great for high power tools. Torque Test Channel has done quite a few videos on this.

Ilovethebomb,

Anyone buying Hilti for DIY work needs to be slapped.

Ilovethebomb,

I’ve let the smoke out of a Bosch drill before, they’re not that great.

Ilovethebomb,

Ryobi is the perfect price point and level of quality for DIY stuff, but you still want a decent quality tool.

Ilovethebomb,

Most of the sub compact stuff is just rebranded M12 gear, for example. Not everything is the same, but a lot is.

Ilovethebomb,

Imagine having a power brick for your battery drill. Truly the worst of both worlds.

Ilovethebomb,

This is today’s Lemmy Moment Of The Day.

Ilovethebomb,

They’re identical to Ridgid, including the batteries being compatible.

Ilovethebomb,

Given how dirt cheap shop vacs are, why not just buy a mains powered one?

Ilovethebomb,

The AEG sub compact cut off tool, for example, is also sold as an M12 tool, and under the Ryobi name. Most of the AEG sub compact stuff shows up elsewhere in the TTI range, if you know where to look.

My battery drill, for example, had identical specs to a Milwaukee drill.

Ilovethebomb,

It also didn’t work for Hilary in spectacular fashion.
