My main device is Windows, but for peripherals for at least keyboards I have moved towards actively choosing those with qmk support since it got annoying needing dedicated software for corsair or Logitech or razor and so on.
It's still part of the Meta platform so not completely independent.

I only used reddit as my big social media and then discord for messaging. Fediverse has become a good alternative to reddit, but discord will be hard to convince people to move over to alternatives like matrix or revolt.
It will be so important once US election cycle comes around. It became a game of wack a mole individually blocking subreddits versus just setting relevant keywords to make the reddit viewing experience wonderful as opposed to a rage inducing. We need a Fediverse Enhancement Suite.

Treat it like a personal blog maybe? Like Tumblr or a journal. Might help get over the mental hurdle of people not being present, and viewing it like your own private web page just for you. Posts also help it show up in all so eventually someone will see it.
Haha I visited with being logged in and it was true what you said. So many rate me sub content. Someone disagreed saying it is your algorithm. I wanted to sign in and comment to say no go log out and see what reddit shows by default when you browse all, but resisted.
Those who tried Linux and went back to Windows, what caused you to go back to Windows?
