Wondering how much of the Lemmy user base wouldn’t use an adblocker. If you do use one what other blocking do you use to circumvent data collection, YouTube and reddit front ends and things alike?
Seriously. I don’t want to install something on my phone when the dev is just using a WebView, if that’s what it’s called. When the app is basically just a website with the browser hidden....
But why make it at all? If you want to use HTML, CSS and JavaScript you can do that, and not even have to build and deliver the pointless box that you put the content in, because everybody has Safari, Chrome, or another browser on their device.
I am not incredibly smart, but I am smart enough to be aware of my own shortcomings. And those confirm this. I do often find myself supporting irrational positions because I don't want things to go the way that lots of awful people want it to. My desire for their cause to fail is stronger than my rational ability to analyze what would actually be best. That's how the human mind works.
Why are apps like Fairemail, Voyager, etc. updated so often? Why don’t they collect the changes and release them once a month or something like that?...
Who doesn't use an adblocker and why?
