I am sorry captain, this does not compute. Entering self destruct sequence in three … two …

Apparently back in the covered wagon days when shuffle features were truly random, the listener would occasionally be burdened by hearing two songs by the same artist in a row. Literally no one complained about this, so of course upper management decided that this must be “fixed” immediately, so that’s what led to shuffle features becoming noticeably worse than when they were simply random, which is all anyone ever wanted them to be.

It is illogical to fuck every cell in the entire body

But does it have probiotics?

I’ve always struggled to understand why someone would pay the same price (or nearly as much) for a strictly-digital copy

Convenience. I’ve been in situations where it seemed easier at the time to just buy a movie on Amazon. For example, if I’m on vacation or a work trip and I really want to see something.

But that was before I learned about which sites were safe to use for streaming and had high quality content.

Also, I’ve learned that my library still has a large DVD collection, so I apprise myself of that.

I’ve never gotten comfortable with not owning CDs or DVDs. In fact, if I really really like a movie or album, I obtain a physical copy. If it’s an independent artist, I’ll even buy it directly from the record label.

And so far, I’ve been able to stream everything else when I just want to get my entertainment fix ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Nice, I’ll try it out, thanks!

LinkOpensChest_wav, to asklemmy in Folks in North America, where do you like to get PC parts online these days?

I got an old gaming laptop on eBay for like $300 that I take with me on work trips. The person just upgraded or something and wanted to get rid of it.

I know people sometimes have bad experiences on ebay, but I feel like if you message the seller and feel out the situation in advance, you can avoid a lot of the problems. I always try to buy from individuals vs. from someone whose entire business is selling on ebay, and I’ve never been burned.

This took me a minute to see what was wrong here, but that’s really strange, isn’t it?

I love this site so much. As someone who’s not got much of a tech backgroung, it’s been massively helpful in building and upgrading my PCs.

It depends on what you mean by “start working.” The first time I took a sertraline, I felt absolutely baked, but I feel like it took weeks for the desirable effects to take hold.

Then again, my doctor also told me that something like 60% of the effects are a placebo.

Regardless, yes, he would give me like a month of these individal samples at a time. I’m not sure how he swung that. It was like 2003 or 2004.

LinkOpensChest_wav, to lemmyshitpost in "looks inside, individually packaged"

The only time I’ve seen something like this is when my doctor really wanted me to try an anti-depressant, so he gave me a perpetual supply of free samples.

I haven’t either, but then there are a lot of popular sites I don’t use because they require an account.
