I used to check the front page at least once every day, and occassionally check specific subreddits. There’s a pretty good break down in the comments here with a link to an article, but long story short, he was heavily involved with Star Trek after Gene Roddenberry, and was a raging misogynist and homophobe, plus just an asshole to work with. Picture like a Joss Whedon type.

Picard Maneuver started it, I’m just on the Lucy train! Lucille Ball was instrumental in getting Star Trek greenlit, so he posted up some Star Trek characters edited into I Love Lucy scenes. I’m just rolling with it.
