Still distro hopping, will explore the world of Fedora.

The new update is way better than the previous one.

I was not aware of this, I hope they improve the accessibility asap!

Thanks for the insight! Yeah aware that Mullvad is pretty much the closest to “state-of-the-art” as it gets, compared to the rest of these services in the market.

Lol this wins the most absurd conspiracy of the day.

Tried it for a week, but personally found it all to confusing for being a note taking app…

What distro would you recommend for a 32-bit old Acer One laptop? (kbin.social)

It's an old model (Acer One D257) Processor is Intel Atom. Memory is 1GB DDR3 with 320 GB of HDD. I currently Have MX 21 running on it, but I need to reinstall because I forgot the root password. Since I'm reinstalling the OS, I thought I'd ask here for recommendations for an OS that makes the most of this oldie.

Alpine Linux could be worth giving a shot very lightweight!

Can recommend the Vivaldi browser.

It has some really neat tab management, worth checking out at least for people who hoard tabs 🫣

Don’t forget to install codes.

Try out opi for installing apps, otherwise zypper is also great!

Question about ram usage in Unraid

I am about to setup Unraid for the first time, have got the USB and Lisence ready, but watching a bunch of videoes before I dip my feet in. I read and heard that Unraid runs only on the ram, which brings me to the question: My server only has 16GB of ram, whilst my desktop has 48GB of ram, so should I transfer some of my...

I just got the Nvidia Shield Pro (2019) model on sale during BF sale, totally a game changer for us! Although some tweaks are needed when first setup, such as ProjectIvy to replace AndroidTV bloat screen and Button Remapper to remap Netflix button on the remote to whatever else you want it to launch.

Nice one, although I personally find it better to use Project Ivy or any other custom launcher instead.

Personally have this too, but would recommend against it as the support for Linux is tragic.

Sharing RealDebrid Account with Family?

Recently discovered the wonders of the stremio + real debrid + torrentio, works wonders on the newly bought Nvidia Shield Pro. However, I would like for the rest of the family to experinece the same, and completely get rid of all other streaming services. But… as the pirate I am, I started thinking about workarounds for only...

Yeah and I think I’ll go by paying for multiple accounts too. I don’t really mind paying for the convenience, it was just my pirate mind wanting to think about workarounds and hearing what people do.

Introducing Coaxist: a single Docker container for running Plex + Debrid with automatic request fetching (github.com)

Hey folks. I’ve run a Plex instance on my home server for friends and family for a while now. I recently discovered how easy it was to use Stremio + Torrentio + Debrid, but all my users are already used to Plex, and I like to use the Plex app to download media to my phone before I fly somewhere on vacation. The plex_debrid...

Does this mean we only need one debrid account when using plex in different places? I am currently responsible for the movie+series management in my family and will put things on plex for whatever is in demand. However it would be nice if I didnt have to do this, and that they could just fetch things themeselves in Plex. Not super keen on having to pay for a debrid account per location, as debrid will ban the account if seen to be used on different public addresses (if im not mistaken)
