Except you ignore the fact that people in Poland don’t give a shit what color you are, they’re there to buy a product. Nobody goes “oh let’s get the one with the black girl on it”, it’s just the logo. Nobody gives a shit if the owner is black, white, yellow, red, blue, ya know, the way it should be in a world that sees no color, only actions.
If people were only buying manuals, there wouldn’t be a push to put automatics everywhere, especially sports cars. More than 50% of cars in Europe are now automatic. Only 3% of new cars are manual. The old meets the new, and the people chose the new thing. That’s usually what happens. The age of the manual transmission comes to an end.
It’s the nature of time that the old ways must give in. Automatics outperform manual at every level, and most people would rather drive an automatic than a manual. Even here in Europe, where manuals have been the “default” forever.
When it actually backfires. Right now, no company was actually hurt by doing stuff like this - quite the opposite, they get a boost since they close down their ecosystem further forcing people to buy their stuff.
There will be “boycotts” but in reality it will blow over in two to four weeks, with people forgetting “an outrage” that didn’t reach 99% of their target users at all.
I’m commenting because I can, and you can’t make me not comment. I can voice my opinion, you can do with it what you will, other than prevent me from saying stuff
No, I wouldn’t buy a ring at all, since rings are a cashgrab.
I can also imagine the 10k invested into something actually useful instead of a futile gesture. Imagine being pragmatic and not buying a trinket by selling your other belongings.
It’s a game. The fact that they use 5e for most things, doesn’t mean they can’t include other rules or explanations. A wish spell might not even exist in this universe, and it would be fine. Revivify scrolls don’t exist and don’t work this way in 5e. There are no “surfaces” in 5e like they exist in bg3. A lot of feats are changed (so far as to even break bounded accuracy). They could easily implement lvl20, but they decided to end the game around 12, which is fair. Let’s not act as if they had no choice though
