It’s almost as if reddit’s first party app couldn’t even compete with third party apps. I used Boost for Reddit and now I’m waiting for Boost for Lemmy...
In a way social media is a drug and most of us were addicted. At least I was on Reddit, because I liked being there. So not using it, especislly when it was kind of a habit may not be easy for many on virtue fo that alone.
Same. A lot of the communities I loved had already left so it made it worlds easier. Honestly, my first frolick with Lemmy, kbin, and mastodon really have me more excited to see what comes out of all this
Honestly, nobody even looks at other people's Karma. I didn't care much about it. Did people really care so much baout Karma that they mourn about it here, or miss it, or used to farm it?...
Karma is all about gamification. Made up points to make you feel like your contribution was worth something. You can see it in pretty much all social media platforms.
You never really care about checking others, but I bet you'd probably take a peak from time to time at your own.
I never cared, but I would be lieing if when I post blew up I wouldn't notice all those upvotes.

Haven't touched reddit since July 1st

Did Karma really matter that much in Reddit?

Reddit seems to be speedrunning 'self-destruct and devalue IPO'. What would be Reddit's next worst steps?

Apollo seems to have been shut down
Both of my devices can’t launch the app anymore. Looks like its the end of an era boys and girls
