Chariotwheel,

Also, Ted Cruz would be a domestic catastrophe that fills his and hid mates pockets with the money of others, but he would not be an instable insane nuke, ready to blow up something on a whim.

This is where we are right now.

Chariotwheel,

Car breaks down.

"I am sorry, old pal.", I whisper as I load the gun.

Chariotwheel,

Every kill gets the killer another life saving shot.

Chariotwheel,

Maybe that's what Anakins task actually was.

"Gooood, my apprentice. The temple has fallen. I take it you fullfilled your mission of killing master Yung Ling?"

"Wait, what do you mean 'master'?"

Chariotwheel,

Dutch bicycle lanes? And here I thought the US was car junkie hell.

Chariotwheel,

It's even worse when the hills are alive and have eyes

Chariotwheel,

I spend about an hour once with a group of friends walking nowhere. I don't even know how it started, but someone started to move and the rest followed, and after someone finally asked where we're actually going, nobody knew, because somehow everyone was following someone else and we were just generally walking forwards for an hour.

Chariotwheel,

Motival Posters had a lot of black space outside of the picture so you could actually read the text!

Chariotwheel,

I would say a lot of columb B. It makes sense for guards to be big, for intimidation alone. After all, the best case is that the guards don't need to fight at all, but keep people with their mere presence from doing something stupid. Being big and imposing is certainly a desirable trait.

Chariotwheel,

They had an observation post through which they could look at the movements of vessels in the bay. Naturally, it wouldn't be the most detailed information, but something like "a whole fleet of big German warships have entered" would be extremely valuable to know. The British navy could strike somewhere else, knowing that these ships were far away, or they could see if they can ambush them or prepare defenses in the mediterranean.

Chariotwheel,

I recently saw a video clip by Josh Strife Hayes. He was talking about MMORPG culture, but it can be extended beyond that. It's about the inability of people to be bored and impatience. Old people can manage with being bored. They can spend an hour not doing much of anything. But the further you go in time, the less patience people have. And that's not because they are better or worse humans inherently, it's because they grew up in an society where things increasingly got busy. So it also isn't a binary old people/young people, but a progressing state of people getting blasted more and more with stuff.

This is to the point where there are YouTube videos where people cut away little bits of space between sentences just so there isn't even a second of calm. Social media plattforms just bury you under content and new content suggestions. A lot of games don't even want to risk downtime and just throw all kinds of random content at you for you to work through., quick travel so you won't have a few minutes of calm walking somewhere. Just content back to back with more content.

And this ultimately leads to way more stuff for you than you can consume and an inreasing fear of missing out on something if you're not constantly on the ball.

Chariotwheel,

Just act like an ass and tell people you're American. Works best if you're not American.

Chariotwheel,

I have the opposite experience, I have to keep telling people that I don't need help. I don't know if I just look that helpless or clueless.

Chariotwheel,

The best idea I've ever seen was a documentation about a shop that had baskets of different colours. One meant "talk to me, I may need help" and one meant "leave me alone, I know what I am doing". That is a great idea for everyone.

Chariotwheel,

I mean, it worked. Made him train the dog.

Chariotwheel,

Yeah, there no well as on trains. Call me back when she is sleeping in an actual well.

Chariotwheel,

I remember when games launched and generally could be expected to run, because easy patching wasn't a thing yet. They had to make sure that the games worked.

I don't like that this has moved to "well, it's just the first day, week, month, give them time to fix the game." No! When the game releases and people pay money for it, it should work!

Chariotwheel,

Yeah, the only concern is whether the hair style could cause issues (notably a lot of hair can be an issue in some jobs), and even than you can manage most of the time.

But an office is not one of those places.

Chariotwheel,

We said that when the Oblivion horse armor released. And look where we are now.

At some point basically everyone will do it and marketing will fo the rest.

Be honest, do you still use reddit?

I used to check the front page at least once every day, and occassionally check specific subreddits. Now I don’t look at reddit unless theres some drama, like mods getting purged, then I’d go there and enjoy the drama. Occasionally there will be questions that only reddit has the answer to so I have to reluctantly use it. I...

Chariotwheel,

I look into niche communities that I can't find in a suitable way on the fediverse, but I don't engage anymore. No comments, no posting, no up- or downvotes, no gilding (lol). I am sitting on 17100 of these coins and I will watch them melt away when Reddit removes rewards.
