Once in a while on Reddit one of your most irrelevant comments would receive like 1000 replies, and the other times - nothing. Here it is much more evenly spread. And usually you can go into deep discussion with multiple back and forth.
I remember Reddit was the same when I joined it during Digg exodus.
I think because it suggests that there is such thing as Israeli Ethnostate. There is Israel, in which you have about 25% Arab citizens. Far from being ethnostate, the Arab citizens enjoy equal rights and protections from the state.
The advantage of meme is that it can throw away any nuanced discussion. Even if it is completely incorrect in messaging, arguing with it will look stupid.
