OurToothbrush, to memes in Class War > Culture War

Are we referring to the same thing when we say culture war? Because I am including actual things besides the annoying media nonsense.

One party with multiple functional approaches that get whittled down through democratic consensus is more democratic than being told to pick between two relatively similar options. There is more of a gap between liberals and Maoists in the CPC, both of which hold power in office, than there are between the democrats and republicans.

You should instead read “Riding the wave” which is a serious book that explains why social democracies rely on imperialism using one case study (Denmark I believe but I haven’t read it in forever)

You’re doing a bad job here. You just missed.

Literally making radical unions as part of a socialist organization and doing serious mutual aid work. Providing logistical support to protestors where protesting=/=marching

OurToothbrush, to memes in Get out and vote!

This sounds nice but doesn’t really address what I said in any way.

OurToothbrush, to memes in Get out and vote!

You said this

Mask of fascism is bad for the Prolitariat and voting is the bare minimum of civic duty to prevent it from taking hold in a nation.

But voting didn’t prevent fascism in all the countries youre describing. In fact, theyre examples of how voting within a dictatorship of the bourgeoisie can’t prevent fascism.

Do you understand how something being owned by a democratic government is different than something being owned by individuals, whether it is publicly traded or not?

Like, from a power perspective, do you understand the difference for the average prole between the means of production being owned by individuals based on heredity vs being collectively owned by a democratic body?

OurToothbrush, to memes in Its getting old.

I mean to get rid of profits ya gotta get rid of the bourgeoisie, and then you’re in a classless society.

Have you read literally any academic literature on ukrainian collaboration with the holocaust, or any academic literature on the holodomor after the soviet archives opened?

Have you read any history on the way Hearst Collaborated with the nazis?

Have you read anything about the first time the holodomor story aired, and how it was debunked?

No?

Then you’re just following corporate media opinion because you trust corporate media more than actual historians(many of who are anticommunist), even though the corporate media opinion is literally nazi propaganda that was used to justify killing jews, and all the facts in the world wouldn’t reason you out of a position you’ve gotten into based on blind trust.

THERE were two “Reigns of Terror,” if we would but remember it and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passion, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon ten thousand persons, the other upon a hundred millions; but our shudders are all for the “horrors” of the minor Terror, the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break? What is swift death by lightning compared with death by slow fire at the stake? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief Terror which we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror—that unspeakably bitter and awful Terror which none of us has been taught to see in its vastness or pity as it deserves.

Do you think the shareholders are active in problem solving? Workers include basically everyone but the shareholders. The tech guys, the executives, the managers.

OurToothbrush, to memes in If you're feeling left out it's probably because you defend billionaires who would mince you into fertilizer

20 percent of children in the US are food insecure and we have the largest prison industrial complex on the planet. If I had a shittier job and broke my leg I would end up homeless. My cousin who can’t hold down a job due to a chronic illness would die on the streets if she didn’t have family support. But yeah the system works.

Id argue that the free market incentivizes the capture of politicians but I think we are on the same side here.

Yes, yes. It is cool and subversive to support capitalism, or at least oppose its alternatives.(aka support capitalism) You’re part of the cool club of people who act in the interests of the bourgeoisie and not of your own class. A real independent thinker.

(Not that any of us are independent thinkers, but one of us is defending the powers that be and calling the other a chatbot)
