ParsnipWitch, to comicstrips in Offering solutions is annoying

Since you are a rational person and not just emotionally reacting, I bet you have a credible source for these blanket statements. Can you name one, please? Because I can’t find even one.

I know this type of scary talk. It also comes up when people talk about assisted suicide. Some people on the fringe believe it would be a good option for addicts, the homeless, etc.

They believe it’s a rational standpoint. In reality they ignore the consequence this approach would have for our society on a psychological level.

I let you in on a secret: these type of people exist in every gender. So do people who are sensitive and emotional. Stereotypes and sexism about that is dumb. Believing anecdotal evidence speaks for a whole group of people is dumb as well.

What works if someone has a preference is to look early into how a person ticks. Instead of focusing on stereotypes and other superficial assumptions (for example).

What kind of perspective does one need to have to believe it is good when there are no resources (money, people) to care for the elderly?

ParsnipWitch, (edited ) to news in You wanted a multipolar world? You got chaos. [Edit: Do Hamas represent Palestinians?]

You believe that anyone who says it is not genocide is fine with people killing Palestinians?

So you are fine with murdering people as long as it is not genocide?

ParsnipWitch, (edited ) to news in You wanted a multipolar world? You got chaos. [Edit: Do Hamas represent Palestinians?]

For example that Gaza is overcrowded not because Israel made it so, but because on average people in Gaza have 5+ children.

This is a great resource and post! I feel bad for commenting already but I can’t help it.

OpenSuse is missing and, this is of course personal opinion, but I think Debian is a great distro for beginners.

Also OpenSuse can be great for beginners. Though not as much as Debian.

ParsnipWitch, to lemmyshitpost in Have you tried sunning you perineum?

The one thing that broke me as a child when it comes to movies was Watership Down. Damn that thing should be 18+

ParsnipWitch, (edited ) to lemmyshitpost in Have you tried sunning you perineum?

What? We loved watching the movie as kids and for me it was a beautiful fairytale with some action. I never thought it was scary or anything.

Might be because in Germany fables tend to be on the more drastic side. I still think it’s a great kids movie, on a similar level as The Last Unicorn or The Labyrinth for example.

Please, not this again… Personally, I am a lot in favour of communism. But some people, especially US Americans, have a fundamentally wrong idea about the housing shown in the upper picture.

This is often neither cheap, nor does it reduce homelessness. And it’s also not the goal of that kind of rental homes to reduce homelessness.

That is just normal homes of average people in many places.

It’s not “cheap housing for everyone”.

Do you mean the settlements in the Westbank?

So instead we should genocide Israelis or what is your suggestion?

ParsnipWitch, to memes in How did this break rule 1? Did you just not read the 2nd panel?

You do realise that there is not one Israeli ethnicity, right?
