Planning on swiping the package requires you to be local to the victim, and willing to assume a high level of risk and time - this is not often close to the truth. These people are often not even within the United State.
What you are describing exists but it would be far more likely that you would know them - and it’s a sloppy drunk family member/friend/coworker. They would not be in the game for long doing this.
I imagine the same as every single laptop in existence. A big brick that sits on the floor and a very long cord.

Other tools are way more power hungry than a drill. Someone gave me a m12 Vacuum as a gift and it can’t run for more than 15 minutes on battery which makes it extremely limited. Inside a customer’s home that is all I need but at home it’d be great to run it as a dust collection for a table saw.
That’s crazy. That sounds like it should not be legal.
Why not just require they spend $200 to use a gift card? That way the store either keeps the $50 gift card in cash on the books, or they make $250 in sales.
