I would bookmark it so I could watch it next time I’m constipated.

Years ago, after a family camping trip, we stopped at a café for Lunch on our way home. My father, my Brother and I all saw Sticky Date Pudding on the menu and decided to order it as desert.

It was the most amazing Sticky Date Pudding we had ever had, it was the right balance of moist and dry, the caramel sauce was just the right balance of sweet, salt and tart without being decadent and the date was just the right consistency, not rubbery but with just the right consistency.

We asked the waiter about it and they told the chef. The chef came out to give us the recipe and pulled out a Tinned Pudding. All he had done was cracked the tin, poured it out and put a scoop of vanilla gelato on the side.

“Should’ve gone to SpecSavers”.

The discount optometrists that offers this promotion is called SpecSavers and had an advertising campaign where people make silly, embarrassing mistakes because they don’t have perfect eyesight.

Ending support for Windows 10 could send 240 million computers to the landfill. Why not install Linux on them? (gadgettendency.com)

With support ending for Windows 10, the most popular desktop operating system in the world currently, possibly 240 million pcs may be sent to the landfill. This is mostly due to Windows 11’s exorbitant requirements. This will most likely result in many pcs being immediately outdated, and prone to viruses. GNU/Linux may be...

Because the hardware is being made obsolete for a reason. They are inefficient compared to modern hardware, consume way too much power and there are cheaper and more powerful options available.

A modern ARM-based computer like the Raspberry Pi 5 can outperform most computers and laptops running Windows 10 and have a smaller environmental footprint.

The problem is that the obsolete hardware is not cost effective to decommission and recycle. They have not been designed for an environmentally conscious world.

I just finished reading (listening to the AudioBook of) The Truth by Terry Pratchett. This would be one of Mr. Windlings pickles.

Same as. The new Audiobook is much higher audio quality than the earlier Audiobooks. They are all different in different ways and I find that I get more out of the original text after “reading” different narrations/adaptions.

Spoken like someone who thinks Pluto should still be considered a Planet.

But you are right, Jurassic Park would be a completely different movie if Genaro was eaten my something that looked like an oversized quail.

Just purchased. Now it will languish in my iBooks library with other illustrated books until some time in the distant future…

There are some local kids fixing the BMX track at the council “maintained” park near us. There are also some other locals who maintain the bench at the top of the park under the trees, with a wonderful view.

The two council-installed benches are out in the open; one has a view of a bunch of houses which face the park and the other has a view of a large tree-trunk.
