So you’re working in hope to get a nebulous pile of 1s and 0s or a some colorful pieces of paper. On top of that those numbers and papers have no intrinsic value, but are instead valuated by some dipshits and can become worthless overnight.

What’s your point there buddy?

Lmao yeah me trading an hour worth of work for a meal that I will consume is the same thing as me trading an hour of work for a nebulous pile of 1s and 0s and hoping some dipshit will pay 2 hours worth of work for them later

Lmao you’re working in a barter economy?

Yeah, the designers were lobbying to force showing hardware ads during boot…

Less is more.

Listen to your own maxim.

it’s just so out of the way

That’s why you rebind caps to:

  • hold = ctrl
  • tap = ESC

Kmonad is my favourite tool for this, but there are other options.

Bonus: rebind hold ret to ctrl and you can C-[ with one hand, and it makes navigation a lot easier if you can’t palm ctrl

A no name pour over dripper and filters are a cheap way to make coffee at home.

Moka, French, and Turkish give you better results, don’t require disposable filters, are usually cheaper, and aside from Turkish don’t require experience to make good coffee.

Shareni, to linux in How to take actions on multiple docker containers at once

I’m using docker packages for Doom Emacs. The main one is docker.el. On top of being faster and easier to use than the cli, you can also do some pretty neat stuff like use dired+tramp to browse files and open them in Emacs.

Shareni, to linux in Request for help, I broke some graphics

I saw that error when I first installed nobara. Googled it, and the solution was just to not use dnf to update, but nobara-sync instead.

Shareni, to linux in Request for help, I broke some graphics

Don’t use “dnf update”, just “sudo nobara-sync”.

It’s not a problem because the update script automatically skips the other GPU packages. Uninstalling it would be an issue because some nobara packages depend on it.

Shareni, to linux in Preparing to move from Ubuntu to Fedora

Check out Nobara. I’ve recently moved to Fedora and it skips a lot of the early hassle.

I’ve recently converted to both. Good taste

Shareni, to linux in What is the easiest way to try all the DEs?

Arco -B has the widest range of DEs and WMs at install that I’ve seen so far. Almost all of them are modded to have a unified control scheme, but the appearance is usually close to vanilla.
