Honestly it’s the reason I don’t engage as much with Star Wars as I do with Trek. Trek has the same issue but it seems to be less pervasive. Everytime someone mentions anything to do with the sequels someone has to go “Yeah but it sucks” and start insulting it. Can’t have a decent conversation about it. Just gets really tiring. Like do the sequels have problems? Oh God yes. But not so much that saying something good is treason then.

Agree about the visuals but honestly this is what I kinda meant when I said put all opinions aside. For once I’d like to just celebrate stuff that looks cool without it always coming back to bashing something.

Yeah I’ve actually thought about this.

Like… did Q just re-create existence around him? Or did he pluck Prime Picards consciousness and dump it into the body of Beta Picard? I like to think it’s the latter with Beta Picard in the background just like “Wait… what? What’s happening?” and then Q and Picard fuck off leaving this poor dude to desperately rely on therapy for the next couple years.
