I did too… Even with a handful of weird bugs, it was an awesome experience (on PC)

Comedy can be a minefield for this type of stuff. I’m a big fan of the comedians that can dance around the edge, or seem to cross it and then bring the audience back, eg: Mark Normand, Bill Burr, Jimmy Carr, a lot of the old Norm MacDonald stuff, etc.

But I’ll see some fan compilations with titles or comments that make it clear that they don’t get the style of humor… Like “[comedian] DESTROYS feminists!!1!”

When, to anyone with a reasonable level of social intelligence, it’s abundantly clear that that’s not what’s happening.

Also, you cheaped out on buying that entry-level Hobbything 1000. You need to at least buy the expensive 3000 model to enjoy anything.

Without intentional effort to prevent it, every platform eventually becomes some level of this.

Youtube: remember when they had to scrap “reply” videos because they were all borderline NSFW spam?

Onlyfans: was originally intended to be a platform for fans of fashion, idols, etc. I guess they just embraced it since then.

Tumblr: banned NSFW content because they thought they were becoming a porn site and didn’t want to moderate that.

Reddit: Segregated it and relies on community moderation, because otherwise it’s like half of the front page.

Twitter: it’s still all over, under most popular posts. I don’t know if they moderate it out or not.

I sometimes watch it for games that I think I can learn/improve by watching. Like chess.

The_Picard_Maneuver,

I practice too, but I still find it helpful to watch chess streamers talk through their thought process in the moment rather than reading/watching a structured lesson.

SC2 was what first brought me in too! I had never cared about esports or watching streams prior to that. Incontrol, Day9, Husky, and all the competitive stuff.

Absolutely. I’d even say it’s media in general. TV shows, movies, advertisements. They will always get as close as legally allowed.

I love disc golf. I haven’t played in a few years, but I have a stack of discs in my garage tempting me to go to a course.

That’s amazing! I haven’t seen this one.

It looks like this is the Hallmark ornament from 2015, so the only option might be ebay.

It might as well be in my home too. My wife and I aren’t religious, so we may have snuck a few subtle trek things into our wedding ceremony.

Whaaaat, how did I miss it?!

It’s almost been 30min, so I just thought I’d give you another reminder.

This has been the lifeblood of every fandom’s fanfiction for so long… I’m always surprised when I don’t hear about it.

I’m sorry to hear that and hope things pick up for you soon. Depression can turn your day-to-day into an unpleasant fog, compounding the difficulty of trying to problem-solve stuff that’s right in front of you, much less more complicated life stuff. It’s important to give yourself grace and patience while working to make incremental improvements. I hope you find your way through it, friend. It’s always hard, but always possible.

The doctor said all my bleeding is internal. That’s where the blood is supposed to be!
