Why would you want to defend those companies? Literally what the fuck good do you think they’re doing? How does it outweigh the huge government subsidies they take away from non-garbage companies that could do the same things but without being as awful?
Even if they did, there’s some really smart technology at play here. I think your paranoia here is unjustified. I felt the same way until I read about their technology. At that point I felt comfortable using their service.
No, I don’t think it’s healthy to move through life in such a paranoid state. If I thought that, I wouldn’t use a password manager and that would leave several problems unsolved, chiefly I would only be able to remember a couple passwords, opening my identity up for hacking several orders of magnitude likelier to actually happen than 1password’s entire technology stack failing at its one job.
3 million is a pretty low salary for a CEO of any large company. I get so tired of people shitting on Firefox for this. Can we please give this a rest?
I couldn’t find the Flintstones movie from 1994 anywhere but googling it I found it here archive.org/details/the-flintstones_202304 and you can either download it via torrent or directly. On top of it it says that the movie is CC0 which means Public Domain. But that can’t really be, it’s only 29 years old....
I think that “spread” in that definition is meant to be past tense. Posting an image, at least originally, didn’t make it a meme. What made it a meme was people resharing over and over to the point it was like an icon that most people knew. Like Rick rolling was a meme. Whereas the billions of other posts that year which weren’t popular, were not.
TIL if you post a picture of your anecdote, it becomes universally objective truth. If you describe it in a comment, it’s useless and “delicious irony”
Haven’t had to have a repair shop deal with any of the 30+ usb-c devices I’ve had.
The funny thing here is you’re trying to say that lightning cables are just meant for charging and they weren’t. They were meant to make money by creating a proprietary licensable technology that mimics usb-c in almost every way
What are some companies that deserve to be boycotted to death?
So far my list includes Comcast, EA, and Nestle. Tell me yours, and I’ll help out.
