I’ve heard that a lot of countries still have a bunch of legacy infrastructure that was on the older standards too, worldwide. Studd like the widths of plumbing pipes and such. I think the digital era is probably the easiest time to convert. When I drive across the border, the change to metric is effortless on a digital car. Same for basically everything else, 24h time, temperature, etc.
I think they are fairly well-designed. You have to be able to expel solids and liquids somehow, otherwise they’d build up inside you, and you might die if they couldn’t be digested or sweated out. I guess they could be combined, like birds. But I don’t think that would make it less ‘gross’ in a non-quantifiable way. Sweating is also a pretty effective way of cooling down. Other methods such as large ears as radiators, thin blood vessels on the forearms that must be licked to aid in heat transfer, and panting all have their downsides.
If you think about it, tailpipes on cars and vapor pipes on AC and heatpumps and furnaces are basically the same thing as our digestive system.
The only thing that could really be redesigned is to have them be much more efficient, like some animals, which can pull a lot more water and nutrients out of byproducts. That, and the ability to extract stuff like heavy metals, microplastics, and forever chemicals, which get stuck and can’t always leave.
The Tank Museum channel on YT has really good information on tanks like this one. They explain each tank in depth with dry British humor. I fell madly in love with one of their 70-80 year old curators who was adorably frank about everything.
I think clear communication is probably best tbh. Especially if you are also willing to shave too. I’m a guy and I also shave, found it extremely helpful for sports, sex, and hygiene. Lots more airflow too.
Is it shallow, or petty, to decide based on name alone? Yeah, pretty much, but there’s probably something, a product or service or site, that the name has made you gloss right over it or jump to it ASAP....
Probably because the Ottoman empire would just crush everyone’s cock with a rock if they so much as started anything. I highly doubt anyone around there voted for the Ottoman empire to occupy their lands and take their resources, haha.
Generally, strongman rule makes things pretty peaceful. Vlad the impaler had a low crime rule, but he also impaled 20,000 enemy troops in a “Forest of the imapaled” and also impaled any criminals, which somehow kept crime remarkably low. But it wasn’t exactly a happy rule, and people cheered when he was eventually ambushed, beheaded, and (fittingly) impaled on the walls above Constantinople…ironically by Mehmed II, ruler of the Ottoman empire. xD
He fought the Ottoman empire’s encroach his entire life and ended up getting ambushed and dying stupidly. But he went down in legend for being crazy hardcore (and his wife, queen Justinia too, who was absolutely mental as well, iirc)
Realized that with my new job I’m at $500/month for gas. Starting to seriously consider a hybrid or electric but damn they expensive. Either way might just need something more reliable than my 320k+ car....
I like my car (subaru OBXT) because it is fast and can generally be pretty flexible. I want an electric because gas is staggeringly expensive. Luckily though, I moved to a city that has an electric train and is extremely dense, so I can walk or take the stupidly cheap train. The train tickets also work on the buses, surface rail, boats, and other transit. Spending a lot less on gas, which is nice.
It’s at least defrayed my need for a car within city limits.
So I thought The Creator was brilliant. I watched it in the cinema, thoroughly enjoyed it and was gobsmacked when I learned it's budget was only $79 million. It looks better than some films I've seen that cost three times that....
It was an OK movie, but there were a number of strange plot holes and other inconsistencies that made the movie puzzling or that needed to be fleshed out better. It felt in 6 like it was trying to be Avatar, using the new gen starwars people to explain it.
I always welcome new movies though. Really getting sick of scooby-doo like superhero movies and COD-likes like John Wick, mission impossible, James bond and many others.
The plots are predictable, wrap themselves neatly up in 2 hours, have the main hero always survive automatic fire, and somehow have rebuilt NYC 33 times in the past 30 cinematic universe films. And somehow a new bad guy always has raised billions + a star base/private island that must be destroyed.

What are some small things we should change about the human body?
Ripping off a post I just saw in the Isaac Arthur subreddit. Imagining we work out the technical ability. Examples they suggested were:...
American-made M3 tank used by the British in the Burma Campaign, WW2, 1945 (media.kbin.social)
18+ How do i politely ask her to shave?
Funny suggestions only
What do you want for Christmas?
I’m thinking of gifting myself a Nintendo Switch and getting my Sister a Kindle.
Which things have you avoided or embraced on the name alone?

Don’t fall into the trap of ‘picking sides’ over Gaza: Hamas’s attacks were unconscionable, razing Gaza to the ground would be abhorrent. In both cases, basic humanity is at stake --- [Opinion] (feddit.de)
