X11 is already dead, and it will not become more or less usable it will always stay the way it’s and wayland will gwt better. that’s the difference and flatpak is just an option it doesn’t try to replace what’s already availible. spreading distrust and miainformation about these softwares doesn’t help

It is a fork, meaning its like ubuntu but with the bullshit that makes ubuntu bad removed. It is completly safe but if you wanna stay clear of any trace of ubuntu at all there is also a debian based version of mint
For individual workers, there shouldn’t be any stigma sround for them, they should be respected as much as any other worker. And the industry itself should become less predatory and workers should be protected more, I hear workplace sexual assault is common in the industry and people should be protected against that. Also another question in my mind is “If people depend on money to survive and if that money is made trough sex than is, sex work, rape trough coercion?”

I think I know what your problem is. It is called “PolyMC”. You can fix it by getting Prism Launcher. PolyMC had a hostile take over and most of it’s previous devs are devoloping a fork called Prism
If all the seemingly pointless discussions about which distro is better comes from attachment to a spesific distro and if a distro is just a way to interract with linux than all the discussion about witch distro is better etc. fundementally comes from a a place of love and appreciation for Linux as an OS....
Linux > windows 10 > Windows 11 > MacOS is my experience, I just can’t stand apple and their walled gardens. I hate that they try to force me to use their shitty cloud and prevent me from installing third party apps. Windows 11 hhurts my eyes. And as a W10 refugee that’s gotten used to linux, I think its tolarable
There is no one devoloping for x11 anymore, it is abandonware and dead (even if still usefully sometimes) wayland isn’t the new shiny thing but it has been getting devoloped so so slowly and getting little support, because the focus on x11. Death of x11 is better for everyone
