Zipitydew,

Not automatically. States have the authority to run their own elections. But this would set precedent for others to follow.

Zipitydew,

I’ve technically gone down from XL. Seems L often fit me better now. But I’ve not changed.

Seems like sizes have shifted higher. Only evidence I have for this are souvenir t-shirts from 20 years ago that say XL. Which are roughly same size as L shirts I’ve bought recently.

Zipitydew,

I’m 6’4" 210. Considered overweight per BMI chart. I do not have dad bod.

Fit people with the obese designation as you say being a fluke is true. Because you have to be massive to hit that. I’d need to put on another 35 lbs to reach it. Which I’m not interested in. I just want to be healthy. Not swole.

So I agree with your point on obese range. The common criticism comes from there being many more people like me who hit the overweight range. But I don’t know anyone in my fitness pals group who cares after laughing it off the first time.

Zipitydew,

It doesn’t lol. Kei trucks max out at like 500-600lb load.

Zipitydew,

Not even close.

I’m 99% certain that’s a 2nd Gen Honda Acty. Which means it has at best a .7 liter engine making 45hp.

The wannabe monster truck at minimum would have a 4.3 V6 making almost 300hp. But the particular spec in the picture typically has the 5.3 V8 at around 355 HP.

Kei trucks are cool. But they’re like a big golf cart with a flatbed.

Zipitydew,

Kei cars/trucks/vans are limited to the following requirements to be categorized as such per Japanese regulations:

Length − up to 11.2 ft Width − up to 4.9 ft Height − up to 6.6 ft Engine capacity − up to 660 ccs Power − up to 63 hp Capacity − up to 4 passenger seats Load-carrying capacity − should not exceed 771.6 pounds

1200 is technically possible. But it’s past designed brake, suspension, transmission capacity of any Kei truck. I’d urge you to use caution if ever doing it again. Wouldn’t go over 20 mph if you can even reach it at that weight.

Zipitydew,

I can see how it would be good in mud. I’d wager it weighs close to a ton less than your Taco.

Zipitydew,

I get the intent here, but it’s a really bad comparison. It’s certainly easy to get confused about without base level awareness of finance and accounting things.

The DoD is a government cost center. It doesn’t generate revenue. Therefore nothing to tax. Meaning nothing for the IRS to audit.

That’s why the federal government has other audit authorities and often contracts independent auditors to help. Those people are auditing department spending and assets related though. This type of audit is not to check if taxes are owed. It’s more like making sure the department bank account is correct to keep this simple.

Zipitydew,

And in some cases they’ve found more. The miss numbers being thrown around are typically aggregate of all overage and underage combined. That way all errors are highlighted and the overages don’t net out some underages.

The other funny thing is how it’s fucking Russia. These audits are partially why old assets were depreciated even further. Which freed up more “spending” for Ukraine.

I’m even old enough to remember Republicans started this whole thing as a gotcha to Clinton. It was so they could prove with all the departments being audited that taxes could be cut. Then the only department that got a pass was DoD. Right when Bush came in. And they then kicked that can a few more times until Obama was President. Then it was suddenly a big deal to Republicans again for DoD to finally start doing audits.

Zipitydew,

Mostly yes. The Newt Gingrich lead house Republicans wanted to do anything they could to make Clinton look bad. Somewhere around 97 these audits started across all federal offices. Point being to “prove” waste was happening and taxes for rich people could be cut. Dems went along with it because it’s not actually a bad idea. But right out of the gate the Republicans made sure DoD was given a pass.

Zipitydew,

And in doing so critics ironically proved one of his points. Which did and continues to fly over a lot of people’s heads.

Zipitydew, (edited )

You’re not wrong. This beef started prior to the Netflix specials. The special was timed out such that Dave appeared to be punching first for those unaware. When what he was really doing was addressing some LGBTQ people coming to his shows and laughing when he made fun of others. But going to social media to complain about jokes towards them. Trans people in particular.

And I’ll get down voted for saying all that. But I don’t care. I’m not defending him. But people on social media take anything less than 100% agreement towards their side as being against them.

Dave for sure could have been less of a dick to trans people in particular during the specials. But people who can’t make fun of themselves don’t belong at comedy shows. And sadly a lot of trans people in particular already struggle with self acceptance. It was a big can of worms to open.

But going on social media to bitch at him wasn’t a smart move. Comedians love ripping back at hecklers. And the response after the special ironically proved one of his points around these “fans” being hypocrites for laughing at his jokes about other types of minorities but not themselves.

Zipitydew,

They only care about property loss when it involves rich people.

Zipitydew,

Beach for me.

Trick to soreness is workout regularly. Then you can act like it’s cause the gains instead of getting old.

Zipitydew,

And we live in a time and place where most of our base needs are easily met. Mind has far more time to ponder.
