It’s probably also a little safer with only system apis accessing system hardware. If you look at how the camera assembly is one piece and apps basically access the whole thing securely.

I finally switched back to Linux as my daily driver after a couple of years of being on nothing but Windows.

I ran Manjaro Linux as my daily driver a few years ago but slowly phased it out for Windows for some reason, and I’m finally back using Linux (currently Linux Mint). I gotta say, I don’t know why I ever switched back to Windows. There’s just so much freedom Linux gives you right off the bat that Windows is just plain...

Used to use LMDE but moved to Debian to get 12 early.

I’ve been daily driving Debian with cinnamon on top. The only thing keeping my windows partition going is lack of HDR support and horrific Wayland nvidia support.

Would not trust automatically downloading executables unless you have a sandbox.

Does musescore fit your needs? If you want a piano… you should probably get a midi input keyboard. If you don’t need 88 keys and real-time playing, you can deal with less octaves.

How do I reduce the squeaking of my faux leather sofa?

I’ve got a (faux) leather sofa (not sure how to tell difference). Sitting on it or moving around makes the leather rub together and squeak a LOT. It wouldn’t bother me but I live in an upstairs flat so I get paranoid if it’s late at night and I move on the sofa it’s “CREEESQUEEEEEEEUUUURRRR”....

I just bought some leather conditioner. It’s oil like, but won’t hurt the faux leather (supposedly)

It’s not. These are opinions. Snap on the other hand… THAT is bad.
