[Solved] Help with PollyMc

I have been trying to use PollyMc but I can’t really figure it out. So I launched minecraft after adding an offline account but it doesn’t seem to work after closing the launcher and opening minecraft again. If I have internet it starts to download some library files again and then it does launch minecraft. Do I have to...

Why specifically Gentoo? Alpine looks more like the tool for this job.

Interesting decision

Fun fact: you can use cat image.iso > /dev/device and it (should) just works.

Another advantage of having a NVMe SSD, hard to confuse /dev/nvme0n1p2 with /dev/sda1

I think that does the opposite for me lol

They’re symlinks, so you can just ls -l /dev/disk/by-id, and you can see what is what.

sudo btrfs subvolumes create /path/to/subvolume

If you don’t configure anything, root will already be a subvolume.

If you wanna make a used directory a subvolume, you have to move the contents first, and move them back after creation.

The only thing that takes time here is the move

Wasn’t aware of that, using snapper for my snapshotting needs.

You can have hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. I also use snap-pac to make snapshots before and after pacman transactions.

Check out wiki.archlinux.org/title/Snapper

I don’t understand anything to do with network configuration, I just install a few packages (iwd and wpa_supplicant included), start a few services, run a few commands, and hope it magically works after rebooting

I’m not sure if this is the right place for this post, YouTube hate doesn’t seem particularly piracy related.

It isn’t, but you’re unlikely to encounter Linux specific malware.
