cerulean_blue,

Sounds like someone didn’t have their morning coffee today

(It’s per month but woteva)

cerulean_blue,

Yes, and life still works fine without them…nobody is forcing you to subscribe to Netflix. Keep paying your monthly cable subscription like the old days.

I hope someday we'll find a way to pirated a car (lemmy.world)

In the end, the KIA car company made its cars into subscription models, I really hate this because in the end the car we buy with our own money doesn’t feel like it belongs to us. Should we finally buy an old school car ? so as not to be affected by this subscription models or is there a way to crack the software installed in...

cerulean_blue,

This is true.

Go and buy a car from a manufacturer who doesn’t insist on subscriptions… whilst you still can!

cerulean_blue,

I still don’t fully get Lemmy… If lemmy.ml is bad, which instance is good? I miss the serious political and science discussions on Reddit and have not found them here on Lemmy.ml

cerulean_blue, (edited )

Thanks. But how do I find these good instances in the first place?! I think this is a big barrier to Lemmy adoption, it’s too difficult for newbies to get setup and find communities they are interested in.

Edit: I’ve just found !trendingcommunities

cerulean_blue,

Because she wasn’t. She was the first woman to fly Solo across the Atlantic. The fated flight would have seen her become the first woman to Fly around the world, no mention of being Solo.

cerulean_blue,

Amen. Shame he’s jacking it in. But he has been going non-stop for like 10 years

cerulean_blue,

Why should Spotify waste time on your pet feature request when they have dozens of working features still to be ruined.

cerulean_blue,

They already do this in Europe and other countries where mixed car/pedestrian environments are more common. Electric cars must have some form of audible signature, usually a quiet whirring sound.

cerulean_blue,

Well there is a clear evolutionary advantage to being wary of ‘difference’ and you can see that behaviour in nearly every species. Yes, even fluffy puppy dogs.

Human society is the one exception. We have beaten mother nature in the natural world (hunger, warmth and shelter) and now we are focussing on the primordial mother nature within us. Where we cant directly fix a physical or genetic weakness, we reprogramme ourselves (via society) to normalise and accept differences amongst us.

Attitudes to Rudolph show how much we have changed in recent years.
