I downloaded the game files, mounted the .iso files and added the game to setup.exe to my steam library and installed the game under the mountpoint. When i click play in steam i just get back to the installer. Running the SkyrimSe.exe in steam(located in the CODEX directory) doesnt work. I use Arch Linux.
Your comment runs antithetical to this server, but I agree. Skyrim has been out for 12 years and it’s surprising that OP doesn’t already have like 3 copies of it. Sometimes, piracy really is just a service problem.
I’ve read on reddit I think that if you are torrenting using a private tracker you’re gonna be fine even without VPN. The question is: isn’t the tracker is just a server that leads my torrent client to the pieces of the file on the seeders? And the connection between me and the seeders is p2p, isn’t that type of...
Most people have never heard of Lemmy or the Fediverse and were not invested one iota in the API Fiasco because they don’t know what API stands for and they normally use the official mobile app.
So the Fediverse has an uphill battle. For the vast majority of Reddit users, Reddit still does everything they need it to and there’s no great call to migrate over. People that are only peripherally aware of the Fediverse may also think it has something to do with blockchain technology. The technological savviness divide grows larger by the minute.
This may be a stupid question, but I just got back into pirating some shows and movies and realize that many of the QxR files are much smaller than what I downloaded in the past. Is it likely that I am sacrificing a noticeable amount of quality if I replace my files with the smaller QxR ones?...
While I agree that 4 is amazing, 5 felt anything but empty. It was literally the most lived in GTA world theyve made, where every GTA before felt like walking through an old Hollywood set where you can’t go into any buildings and to look behind the facade would reveal the hollowness of the world.
Not the right paradigm anymore. Rockstar puts games out that have cultural resonance that they can lampoon. Bully came out right at the perfect time when school bullying and pearl clutching was at an all time high. There hasn’t been enough fundamental change in that regard, for better or worse, since then for Bully 2 to make much sense beyond “but gamers want it!”
I have a mobile data connection only where the carrier offers me free data for six hours post midnight. I can queue torrents on my phone(Yes, I torrent mainly on phone via Flud for Android) for downloading at night; then transfer the downloaded files to my laptop much later for viewing on a slightly larger screen. I couldn’t have done the same with say, Amazon Prime Video. Even if I could get these streaming services to queue at certain time, due to DRM restrictions, the content would only remain playable on phone.
Why are you not able to download shows that are on Amazon Prime Video? It’s not like those videos are special. They don’t have any DRM, you’re just downloading an mp4 or mkv.
Okay, but what about all of the leaking nuclear waste stockpiles? What about the very real nuclear meltdowns that have happened that have resulted in the complete evacuation and condemnation of vast tracts of land that are now totally unusable?
I see your youtuber, and raise you Scientific American with quotes by actual doctors and nuclear technicians. In detail, the article explores all of the myriad ways that nuclear power is the opposite of kissable. My fav? Illinois isn’t on a fault line, but they send all of their spent nuclear fuel to Nevada, where it is stored on a fault line.
ACKSHUALLY you’re not burning atoms in a nuclear reaction. You’re creating a chain reaction of neutrons colliding with Uranium isotopes. No combustion.

What's the deal with the private trackers?
