Check which version of ffmpeg it’s using and whether it has hardware acceleration for that codec.

Also bear in mind that you can’t hardware decode and hardware encode at the same time on the same device. If that’s what you’re trying to do it’s probably falling back on software silently in Windows instead of telling you.

Next time keep your old kernel around a while, you can always boot it to fix a goof instead of messing around with rescue images.

I have a Python-package that calls Inkscape as part of a conversion process. I have it installed, but through Flatpak. This means that calling inkscape does not work in the terminal, but rather flatpak run org.inkscape.Inkscape. I need the package to be able to call it as inkscape....

Far more work than just acquiring a ready made one. It’s not worth your time to do all of them. Some so you can say you did it and know how, sure, but not all.

Exceptions are for anything you can’t find, of course.
