If you wanted to give it a name with accuracy it would be “comparison and extrapolation engine” but there’s no intelligence behind it beyond what the human designer had. I would think “long term support” can also sometimes mean moving that support to a newer version, especially where it doesn’t break compatibility.

Far more work than just acquiring a ready made one. It’s not worth your time to do all of them. Some so you can say you did it and know how, sure, but not all.
