dependencyinjection,

I think the wheels and stuff are just for marketing at this point.

dependencyinjection,

What happens next year?

You don’t have to share. Just curious is all.

dependencyinjection,

You sound like a great person. I’m sorry that your daughter had to go through bullying and even worse, she is the one that has to change her life.

I wish you both success.

You’re right, it’s a terrible time to drop to a single income.

dependencyinjection,

It just I notice those other names a heck of a lot.

dependencyinjection,

Ah nice. It’s nice to have something to do like that.

dependencyinjection,

It’s almost like you intentionally ignored…

Yeah I did, because I didn’t know I was expected to read every other interaction you’ve had in this thread before I could comment.

Obviously I’m not supposed to do that!!

dependencyinjection, (edited )

I live 40 miles from work. They don’t have showers are you suggesting I cycle 40 miles in the British rain?

dependencyinjection,

A little reductive.

We use CoPilot at work and whilst it isn’t doing my job for me, it’s saving me a lot of time. Think of it like Intellisense, but better.

If my senior engineer, who I seem like a toddler when compared to can find it useful and foot the bill for it, then it certainly has value.

dependencyinjection,

Mozart slaps. I prefer Beethoven and Chopin, but Mozart got some skills.

dependencyinjection,

Huh… thanks. I just assumed that the BWV would follow the same logic. I appreciate you taking the time to write this. As now I know.

dependencyinjection,

You know it!

dependencyinjection,

Nice. Nice. Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (one of the ways traffic moves over a network). Köchel Catalogue, named after the dude that first catalogued Mozarts work. International air transport association.

dependencyinjection, (edited )

Shocking but not everybody knows everything.

Pop quiz:

  • ASL (Not American Sign Language)
  • Sounding
  • TCP/IP
  • What does the K stand for when referring to the music of Mozart
  • IATA

Edit: Answers

  • Age, sex location. Old school Internet days.
  • Sounding. Urethral sounding. 😣
  • Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol. It’s one way that packets move through a network. Another would be UDP.
  • Köchel. is the person that chronologically catalogued Mozart’s music.
  • International Air Transport Association. Sets technical standards for airlines.
dependencyinjection,

Pretty based of you to admit.

dependencyinjection,

Not that it matters but it’s a little insane that 8 people thought to downvote you because of how you choose your theme settings.

Like I’m dark mode on everything at all times, but I won’t downvote you for being different. Some folk be wack.

dependencyinjection,

Yeah dudes comment history is pretty toxic and filled with variations of “fuck”.

Nothing against swearing, but it loses its impact if used to frequently.

dependencyinjection,

So it isn’t just me. I commented a while back to FlyingSquid I see them and ThePicardManeuver all over the place.

How does Usenet content not immediately get DMCA'd into oblivion?

For instance, say I search for “The Dark Knight” on my Usenet indexer. It returns to me a list of uploads and where to get them via my Usenet provider. I can then download them, stitch them together, and verify that it is, indeed, The Dark Knight. All of this costs only a few dollars a month for me....

dependencyinjection,

By searching Google for Usenet indexers.

It’s going to be difficult as many of them require invites.

dependencyinjection,

Reminded me that I apparently once painted the TV with nail varnish.

dependencyinjection,

I sometimes like to ignore the sat nav and take another motorway in my city that is the only one with tunnels.

The tunnels run under the runway at our airport so I also like to see the planes flying in.

My friends think I’m weird but really who’s the weird one. I’m just taking pleasure in the simple things.
