Andrew Huberman --> Huberman Labs

Neuroscientist and professor of neurobiology and ophthalmology at Stanford University.

Does amazingly detailed, up-to-date, research backed podcasts with many other Doctors and such discussing topics involving the brain, sleep, dopamine, routines, diet, mechanisms of action, etc

My favorite podcast I’m always down to listen to and it’s on basically every platform.

ENJOY! :)

The transition from the holiday season back to the normal drudgery is so depressing. Is there any way to make Jan / Feb less depressing?

like, it’s still dark at 5pm, there are barely any sports on, still bitterly cold and austere and it hurts to go outside, but you’re not even looking forward to christmas or the new year. the new year is here, and it’s largely the same as last year. except you’re getting older.

The best public option is Proton imo. With paid subscriptions you even get access to Secure Core servers where Proton runs their own data centers instead of hiring 3rd-parties like NordVPN, etc.

Case-point: Nord has been hacked before bc of third-party data centers. Proton has no breaches so far and does regular security audits, has plenty of servers outside the 14 Eyes Alliance, and actively fund privacy focused projects.

Mullvad is a close second bc of their anonymous payments.

It really depends on the quantity and sensitivity of the content I’d say.

But Proton has replaced everything I used Google for (Drive/Email). Proton will work for a good 90% of everyone most likely.

YOUTH’S ANSWER: Spotify offline download

I love it :)

Always got a stash of backups if network goes down on the road. Love mp3s still tho.

Also we stream so much because we’re used to it. I download replays now tho to save energy consumption in general.

BUT more streams means more money for the artist!

doppelgangmember,

Well I did say I still love MP3s…

Obviously good points.

But we know now subscriptions =/= to ownership.

Also nothing stops us from potentially ripping the downloaded songs into MP3s and this gives you all the access to it. Or just go rip them off youtube.

I was just providing an easy solution that still gives the artists money. Philosophically, just using mp3’s doesn’t inherently give the artist any funds when I can just torrent/rip them.
