I noticed that for the most part, the things they claim it advanced, are advanced regardless and it’s only BECAUSE they reached the level that they are now that this can even be done. It wasn’t the other way around. We aren’t working to make robotic bees and THAT tech is what furthers everything else.
I’ve seen this phenomenon many times over the years, while walking the dog out behind our house. The cables wiggle between these two particular power poles, but NOT between the adjacent poles (or any others, along this pole line). There is no wind, no earthquakes, no herds of animals or large vehicles/machinery anywhere nearby...
Probably some combination of electromagnetic effects in that specific section. Happens to oscillate just right. Though these weights can be used for wind issues, I’m seeing a lot of references to dampening other kinds of vibrations. Might help you find a better answer.
In regards to it only being between those two poles, I’d wager it simply comes down to tension. The other cables are tensioned correctly and this section is either too loose or intentionally loose as some sort of expansion/contraction relief.
Kind of a trend, the amount of youtubers who i had loved but their content became generic after gaining popularity is quite a bit, most drastic one being mrwhosetheboss, his uniqueness went down faster than MH27 MH17
Agreed. Before it would be “so I made this tool by filing down this other thing, you can probably make one yourself” to “I used this tool that you can get in my shop, and here’s how to pick it with a few standard tools as well…”
Check it now. I’m not even sure where it’s slant is anymore. It’s full Palestinian support now. Unless that’s become right territory now. I don’t even know in this world anymore…
The Fermi Paradox feels like someone sticking their finger in the water at the beach and confidently declaring there are no whales in the ocean because they didn’t touch one.
While I can agree with others that it might not be that strict and they may get more variety, from personal experience, my 700+ song playlist tends to focus on a handful of songs. Blue - Eiffel 65 gets a CRAZY amount of playtime for some reason. It’s a running joke with my carpool that it’s my car’s theme song. I can sometimes skip it 2-3 times on my drive to work. And some songs seem to never come up. I’ve been having some better luck with the AI DJ lately, although it will throw in an entire chunk of songs I don’t even care about as basically ads.
There’s a page on Adobes website about them putting the serial number of your license in files you create. It’s usually not a “we immediately know” type thing, but a “if we find out and check, it’s pretty obvious to us” way. I’m not sure how else people think they would enforce the licenses anyways. It’s not just a licence to use the software, but to use the final product commercially.
Adobe lists it on their support website that serial numbers get put into files and there’s even a little tool to check if your serial number registered properly so you can make sure to claim the rights to your own work.
I definitely wouldn’t want to risk it unless you passed the files through some intermediary programs that stripped that kind of metadata out.
I think it has a lot to do with longer messages seeming “elitist” in addition to the tendency of trolls to find one phrase they don’t like and derail the entire topic over it. You write 3 paragraphs, most don’t read past the first sentence and vote based on that, and some troll starts nitpicking your use of “us” vs “we” instead of the actual topic. Over time you see putting the effort into a comment as pointless or outright adversarial, and you stop. It’s the trolls and the low effort people that make having quality conversations frustrating. Not trying to gatekeep, but I firmly believe that once a site becomes popular enough that all the “Lowest Common Denominators” join, quality drops. The signal to noise ratio just becomes too much. Popularity is a death sentence on the Internet.
Exactly this. Every one demands everything to be free to use and then wonders why everything gets crammed with ads and micro transactions and data gathering. You want quality software? You have to pay for it somewhere. Even FOSS. Developers have to eat too. Either pay upfront or be enshittified. I’d rather pay up front.
