How hot was his pee? Pretty sure it’d just freeze before it melted even a minor amount of ice

Agreed. It’s comical how he’s seemingly able to rapidly build stuff that requires experience in multiple high end fields and then he even surrounds himself with his own tech and is not buried under maintenance hell for it all.

My alternative head canon is that he’s actually only good at building AIs and Jarvis and Friday are the ones who actually make all of his crazy ideas work.

I mean if you were going to divorce your partner, then by all means take the red pill. You’d probably both be better off then. I was speaking of presumably happy marriages.

greenskye, to memes in Which pill do you choose?

Sure, but you’re throwing away your current spouse and kid in favor of a do over. That’s pretty cold.

greenskye, to memes in Which pill do you choose?

Gotta somehow get seed money. Even investing your allowance would only get you a couple of thousand. You’re investing doesn’t really pay off until you’re old enough and rich enough to put real money in the game.

greenskye, to memes in Which pill do you choose?

Red pill effectively kills your current spouse and kids if you have any. Also trying to re-engineer the relationship with your original spouse all over again seems like it’d be really creepy. If you go back, you effectively need to find someone else. Couldn’t do that.

Actually managing to sell that many coins would be pretty difficult. I remember exchanges crashing on the day it peaked as everyone was trying to sell. It’d still be way to make a lot of money though.

greenskye, to memes in Which pill do you choose?

Same, though honestly with my bad memory, I’m not sure I’d do all that much better with the red pill. Itd be hard for me to put together enough seed money to make a decent return, and I don’t remember specific dates well enough that I think I could convince my parents about it.

greenskye, to asklemmy in So, who or what ruined Christmas this year?

Last time I went to Magic Kingdom in Disney world, the park was IMO legitimately too full of people. Seemed like every single space was wall to wall people and every ride, even the shitty ones was like a 3 hour wait. And it wasn’t even a holiday or a peak season time. Just a miserable experience. Feels like they just need a daily cap or something on the number of visitors because there’s definitely a point where it gets too full to be worth it for anyone.

greenskye, to memes in Google “search”

Yep the whole Internet feels like a dying mall. There are still some places I go for specific needs, but I’d say my casual browsing of any kind just keeps getting smaller.

greenskye, to lemmyshitpost in Very powerful flashlight

I’ve now had the opposite problem where some are too bright and didn’t come with a dim enough setting. It’s actually so bright it dazzles my eyes and I can barely see the thing it’s pointing at.

My parents and grandparents will routinely give me directions to the restaurant we’re all going to. In the past I tried to stop them as I can never remember them anyway and certainly don’t use the same landmarks. Now I just nod my head and pretend like I got it all on the first try and then just use Google maps like a sane person.

greenskye, to memes in Compendium of human knowledge at my fingertips

Didn’t they have calculator watches like ages ago?

greenskye, to memes in Compendium of human knowledge at my fingertips

I do it in my head and then on a calculator because I don’t trust my head to do it correctly

greenskye, to comicstrips in Time-stop [Chris Hallbeck]

Technically speaking this sort of 'time stop’s phenomenon would have to selectively keep time going for certain objects. Otherwise you’d suffer to death because the air molecules are frozen or cause some sort of weird radiation issues from atoms colliding with other atoms as you moved while other things didn’t.
