java, (edited ) to linux in Ubuntu Linux Squeezes ~20% More Performance Than Windows 11 On New AMD Zen 4 Threadripper Review

Linux, the kernel, doesn’t operate in isolation. The system under test was Ubuntu, which comes with specific packages, package versions, patches, kernel configuration, and so on. It is reasonable to say that the combination between this specific operating system and hardware led to the observed outcome. Different combinations of software and hardware may yield other results or replicate the same outcome. The certainty of these outcomes can only be established through testing. Therefore, your outrage seems unwarranted, and your assertion is not only baseless but incorrect.

This sounds like they have to compete for your money and produce better shows, which is good for consumers. You can subscribe to service X, watch the show you’re interested in, and unsubscribe. Netflix releases all episodes at once, with other platforms you can simply wait till the show ends before subscribing.

I don’t argue that you should do exactly that instead of pirating. But I don’t see why somebody should be subscribed to all these services.

Do you have valid arguments against this proposal or is it just an emotional reaction caused by a single word?

I’ve already explained the use-case. Spare me of your “witty” remarks with no value added.

There is no need to have an account for that. This is a purely artificial measure.

“It’s not paid, you can pay by watching ads and get a laughable amount of downloads per day for free!”

Sometimes you have to cycle through many subtitles to find the right one. They don’t even produce them.

In the era of VPN, many users share the same IP too. You can reach the limit before downloading anything.

Especially if you have as much money as this dude claims to have.

I mean, this is on 4chan. Regardless of whether this is true or not, the post is blatantly narcissistic. I don’t know why it should be here and what’s there to discuss.

java, to piracy in How do companies know if I use cracked software or assets for my personal gig?

I’ve made the switch to FOSS. When faced with tasks that would only require two clicks in Photoshop, I turn to online searches like “how to do X in GIMP.” However, the results are often in the form of either a 10-minute video or a 10-step article. I’m not engaged in professional work. While I partially agree with your point of view, I find it the suggestion to “consider GIMP and Inkscape” superficial in this context. I could accept it if the person I was responding to had shared useful links or information to aid in the transition: sets of useful plugins, free tutorials, and other resources aimed towards those, who are familiar with Photoshop. Any software is just a tool. The OP’s objective is to accomplish tasks, so it’s natural for them to stick with familiar tools instead of learning new instruments. Consider another thing: if they are professionals in the field, they must have practice and deep knowledge of tools like Photoshop, not GIMP.

I’m chill and polite. I’ve precisely explained what’s wrong with the answer, I wasn’t talking about you. So if you have no counterarguments, just stop arguing. There’s no need to act childish and to try to undermine the other person.

java, (edited ) to piracy in How do companies know if I use cracked software or assets for my personal gig?

Sometimes, I search for information on how to resolve Windows-related issues because I often assist my relatives and friends with their computer problems. It can be quite exhausting when I come across online discussions on platforms like Reddit or StackOverflow, and instead of finding relevant answers, I encounter responses from individuals suggesting a switch to Linux or something like that. These responses are unrelated to the original question.

So consider your attitude before making simple suggestions “in good faith”. There’s nothing good in it. What you’re doing is not helpful and toxic, even if the toxicity is subtle.

How about answering the question that was asked:

To be fair, same with Proton. OpenVPN and WireGuard configurations are available.

java, to news in Almost half of Russians say salary does not cover basic spending - survey

How does this support manifest? I’m asking, because there are no real signs. Russian army is struggling to find soldiers and Putin is afraid to start another wave of mass-mobilization.

If somebody echoes propaganda, it doesn’t mean that they support anything. There are no actions confirming this support.

There are many more nuances. I suggest reading at least one book on yhe topic of political science and listening to some lectures before coming to conclusions on such a complex matters.
