I’m in that boat, to be honest.

I’d rather have a 1080p file encoded with a nice modern codec, like HEVC, than a 4K massive file that really doesn’t add much to the image.

When I was a pre-teen and teenager, pop-punk and emo were popular.

Turns out I haven’t outgrown this genre. I now listen to more music from a variety of different genres and time periods, but ultimately, 80% of my library is still early 2000’s pop punk.

I hate the idea of a “smart” chastity belt. If my domme isn’t going to wear the key as a necklace in public, what’s even the point?

Yakisoba. I could eat this everyday for every meal and never get tired of it. I love it.

Though good luck trying to make it balanced from a nutritional point of view. Waaaay too many oils.

His father openly admitted it himself. No primary source will be better than the culprit himself.

Mining is one of the most grotesque industries: child labor, slave labor, water contamination, entire ecosystems being destroyed, workers getting contaminated with everything you could imagine.

Many comments are directly asking what's even the point of the effort to keep the current moderators if they're not going to act any differently, and he doesn't reply to those.

Keep in mind, this is being done by the users. The sticky post actually contains a moderator being against this reaction, claiming if they keep "maliciously complying" Reddit will punish them.

So once again, the users are actually onboard - the mods are scared of losing their fake title. And I say that as a previous Reddit moderator that loved the community I had helped grow. I even hosted Reddit Talks, one of their failed experiments.

Hey man, replying just to let you know I'll remove my comments from this chain, but I'll keep the screenshot and as you've said, users can follow the link to read the context. I realized my post history was becoming way too Reddit focused today, while my previous usage of Lemmy was not related to Reddit at all - and I prefer things that way. Cheers!

For Android, Moshidon is an amazing client that respects Material You design guidelines and is very feature rich.

As for an instance, mastodon.world

You know, this reminds me there's a literal WikiFeet for cataloguing information and pictures of feet from celebrities and sub-celebrities.

I honestly can't decide if I like the internet or not.

/r/apple could've only allowed discussions about fruit.

But instead they decided to return to normal operations - they're in the group of mods unreasonably afraid of losing their position as mods, which is honestly quite bizarre.

I understand building a community and wanting to keep at it (I moderated 3 large Brazilian subreddits) but at this point, you just want the title - because you've already lost control, trust, and quality.

where do I put my name to be on the list for this party?

There are open source YouTube Music clients, which isn’t the same as YouTube, that work way better. Just keep in mind you won’t have access to “high quality” only “medium” which is still Opus but with a lesser bitrate.

They’re constantly losing money

Perhaps focusing on their core services rather than paying millions to try and close down Podcasts, adding DRM, invasive tracking and exclusivity to an open ecosystem that existed for decades would help.

or go buy the CD

Sure, let me just hop into my time machine first

The problem with Spotify’s approach to podcasts is not integration or two separate apps - that’s the least of my concerns.
