I’m getting into an age, where my experienced decades are becoming an abstract blur and every year more conscious that i am now in the far far future i fantasized about, when i was young.
It changes perspectives and expectations of what’s to come.
I sometimes get into some kind of fight, if I’m not really logged in as root and have to do things the sudo way. I’m not so deep in Linux, so I’ll ask bluntly:
Is it always a user error if you have trouble doing things with sudo or is it possible that the way sudo was configured for your user makes your life hard?
Over the years i had lots of clients, where i would be given sudo rights and the experiences doing so were pretty diverse, ranging from “feeling at home and just typing away” to “am i fucking crazy? Nothing goes as expected”
If he manages to apply an easy removable layer to the gluey part, then the person will be holding a sticker in his hands.
It’s all about being able to carry it around without it sticking anywhere, but also just to stick it anywhere you like, after easily removing said layer.
The first time i saw a documentary about this as a kid, with plenty of footage of poor Insects seeking high places, climbing to the top and burst those spores in the air in order to disperse them as far as possible, i was unable to sleep.
I just couldn’t wrap my head around the whole ordeal and the kind of power such a fungus has.
I know, they are unable to do this to bigger animals ( for reasons i don’t remember ), but for how long? If evolution taught me something, it’s that it finds a fucking way or/and a way to fuck.
Where i work, we all use macs. I’m the only developer and all others are designers.
They all look at me very oddly, when i open a terminal on their Mac and change some settings from there. They check if my changes are working and still keep that look, like if I’ve done something strange to their mac lol
There’s a Habibi Imbiss near where i live ( Germany ). They have decorated the place with framed prints from personal photos taken all around the middle east, ranging from around 1950 to around 1970.
You can see the embrace of western culture around a time, where you had some of the best psychedelic rock coming from Iran, giallo movies playing in cinemas in Bagdad and beautiful architecture all around.
Each time i get my shawarma with halumi, i get to see a wonderfull glimpse from the past.
