I love Joplin, but for this write up, I think I would have reworded the sub titles to be less click-baity.

Okay… Not exactly “super powers!” If you’re literally talking about some of the most basic functionality of the app. The end of the article does get into customizing it with plugins, etc so that’s good.

I mean… I don’t think that’s common place. I’ve had the same Ubuntu install from 16.04 I think? All the way to 23.10 that I’ve migrated and upgraded from various laptops one to the other, and my ~/.cache folder is only 3.6gb out of a 1tb nvme drive.

Aaand that’s how badly Microsoft messed up the marketing for the surface line. I didn’t know the surface line had laptops, I thought the surface line was a tablets only (With the detachable keyboard base). 2 random internet people who are involved in the tech world had 2 completely opposite understandings of their product line because they made the marketing and branding so bad.

This is the way, I’ve kept a 7 year old install going this way, through 3 laptops and even LUKS encryption.

Because power-pc is a different CPU architecture, those apps would require emulation or a VM I think. A VM is possible already I believe.
