Kids are smart. Horny teenagers even more so. They will find loopholes or ways to circumvent these kind of things - speaking from experience. At age 13 I installed a keylogger on my PC to get the password for a parental control software my parents installed. Roughly one year later I also exploited a vulnerability in iOS 4 that allowed me to see the parental controls password in plaintext so I could re-enable Safari.
Earlier this year I signed up as a member to a professional organization that also grants IT-related certifications… I couldn’t figure out why the account registration wouldn’t let me proceed, until I typed a super short password instead.
That reminds me of my Linux server teacher in university. We were to buy a domain name from Namecheap or Gandi during class with some free credits, and the teacher was recommending lastname[dot]com if that was available.
I happened to say aloud “yep, mylastname[dot]com is available” and he quickly sushed me as if I had named Voldemort aloud in Hogwarts, telling me that saying it is a really bad move… lol
