Then you should really only consider mass surveillance via cameras as a “big” concern. I’m not much of a travel guy, cause being handicapped has it’s downside, but afaik there aren’t many cameras spread across Europe, mostly near/on main train stations, public transport and similar public places. Use a cap/hat and maybe sunglasses. I haven’t heard of any AI/biometrical real time/logging/analyzing being used in production yet (but it’s being discussed). Don’t use public wifi, get an anonymous simcard (roaming data esims for some crypto-dollars) and a GrapheneOS Pixel smartphone (use it only when needed). Pay by cash and be nice to other humans. And don’t think too much about stuff you can’t control! Don’t let you get mad and restrict your life too hard because of stupid politicians and governments xD

Have fun exploring Europe! Take a look at Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Netherlands. Poland and the Czech Republic are nice too, but it’s harder there to communicate in English IME.

oh: and as a drug user, usually prescribed opioids (no abuse, I need them and have a prescription), but (a)busing weed (got a script too, but usually buy from the dealer/vape HHC currently) and hallucinogens/“fun”-drugs (LSD, Shrooms and Special K), I only had problems in Germany because of THC (haven’t had a script at this time). But usually it’s OK to party, but don’t be too open about your use. Funniest moment was in Amsterdam. Some friends and me were sitting on a bench near a little garden, drinking beers and smoking some Js. When the police drove by, we first wanted to hide the Joint, but remembered ah, no public booze in Amsterdam, and had to hide our beers instead. It’s usually the other way round :P

I would recommend creating a Ventoy USB drive and download some live ISOs of your choice. Then boot them and let your BF try them. Because then he can choose a distro by his liking to the overall experience.

No browser has a VPN function, it’s just a proxy. You can use sth like Bitmask for a free VPN. Calyx Institute and RiseUP provide some free servers too.

How to get into those super secret iptv services?

I have heard that there iptv services which are really private and don’t advertise openly and provide really great services. I don;t remember but i saw it here/reddit that they are available on private trackers’ forums. I am on Avistaz, bakabt, torrentleech and few others not worth mentioning. I would like to learn more...

Use Molly instead. There are 2 versions, one FOSS one and one with some proprietary data (notification stuff).

I installed all fonts manually and with the autoinstaller b.net, eaplay, epic store and ubisoft connect and their dependencies as well.

If not sure, or steamdb info isn’t enough. Just install everything… Not the best solution, I know, but better than install one, test and repeat…

Usually all vcredis and .net are OK to install.

Been there, started scripting with PowerShell to have an after-setup-script to change reg entries, install tools (mostly through choco), run them (like dism++ cleanup and o&o shutup10 privacy tweaks) and migrate data from backups. Setting up and migrating took me usually 3-4h of work, sometimes more. With the scripts it’s just: Install Windows, update, reboot, update, reboot, run the script, reboot. Done. It’s like 30min of work.

Good thing I changed to linux, cause you can automate the whole process and preseed it into a debian image or kickstart rpm-based distros. It’s possible to do customized Windows images too. I have tried a lot of times. It never worked like it was supposed to.

Fedora Silverblue enters the chat :) Haven’t had a single hiccup so far. Only ublue spins are a pain in the butt imo. That’s why I configure everything by myself.

Freaking slow, exactly like Tor imo. The last torified torrenting test was many years ago. Speeds were at 100kb/s. Nope. With double VPN I’m at ~150 Mbit/s during torrent downloading.

And time is more expensive than anything else :)

Do you know Terrence McKenna? He has the idea, that primates ate psilocybin-rich shrooms which enhanced their evolution. I can totally understand his thinking. One good shroom or LSD trip and you can achieve thougts which would come up years later or never. This stuff helped me a lot with dealing with depression and generelly getting to know my subconcious better :)

Getting high is part of all mammals. Elephants removing roofs of clay huts to steal and drink booze in India. Dolhpins biting on Starfishes to get high on their venom. Reindeers eating Amanita Muscaria mushrooms to get a GABAergic blast.

It’s all about those sweet neurotransmitters. Our whole body is made to use any kind of pleasure (external like food, drugs or internal like sport, sex or just getting your shit done) to be able to move on. Without pleasure, mammals wouldn’t repeat anything. Why would they? Nothing would be fun at all.

So yeah, I believe you, that more crops were sown just to be able to brew more beer. I would do that too, even though I don’t really enjoy ethanol. But friends and family do. When they’re happy, I’m happy too :)
