If reality wasn't wholly rational, could one ever come to terms with it, or would one rationalize it instead?

Also how would one come to recognize reality’s irrationality anyway? By which I should clarify, when I say reality I mean the whole of existence, beyond everyday society which is a mush of reason, emotion, and ambiguous causation. In turn, when I’m talking about irrationality, I don’t mean emotionality or ambiguous...

Most humans believe in magic in some form (gods, spirits, miracles, astrology, etc) so we don’t have to guess how people would respond if they believed reality was irrational. They rationalize it endlessly and try desperately not to look at the parts that make no sense.
