Great plain language breakdown for the uninitiated. Doesn’t disregard socialism as a solution to the problems outlined, but that’s a whole other discussion. Frankly at this point in history, it’s largely academic IMHO.

Emphasis mine. This would be my only edit. Useless only as a consumer and worker. Still imbued with dignity and capable of generating meaning and experiencing a worthy life.

That is legitimately one school of thought, as I’ve heard it, yes. I’m not so sure about it myself, but we’ve definitely got capitalism – no one’s going to argue that – so we may as well use it to the advantage of human flourishing.

Yup, I remember that interview. It was about pirates providing translations for the pirated games, that weren’t included by their creators.

Fair pricing is also part of that. Like when Netflix first came out, even with its pretty restricted catalogue, it was a good deal at the time.

They do fit well together, but they are very much not the same show. They are like two differently shaped puzzle pieces.

Closer to the end TNG did get more character development, though. I wonder how much of that is thanks to Babylon 5. I remember the end of TNG, beginning of DS9, and B5 all being very close together.

It was actually kind of nice to take a break while you’re on the toilet. Whether that means checking your phone for fun, or just sitting in silence without looking at a screen. Both can be a break, depending on context.
