puppy, to asklemmy in Is there a sub somewhere between shitty food porn and food porn?

What do you mean? I just subscribed using the above link from the Eternity Android app.

puppy, to fuck_cars in Simple proposal to force politicians to improve road design

I’m all for it. I’d like them to lead by example. If this was actually enforced I bet my bottom dollar that public transport/mirco-mobility issues would be completely solved in 15 years max.

That actually exists. Google “Toyota TownAce truck” or “Toyota LiteAce truck”. There are used 90s models to brand new 2023 models.

Nah just thought he was treated very poorly by Microsoft.

puppy, (edited ) to linuxmemes in Bye bye edge

I have had zero problems with Linux so I lack knowledge and am overpaid? You have problems therefore you are paid fairly? Hmm sounds very logical. Any critical infrastructure project would be lucky to have you.

Furthermore, you have told another commentor in this same thread that they reek of incompetence because they have a 7 hour Windows install, yet I am being overpaid because I don’t have any problems in Linux? So a competent developer should breeze through Windows but should struggle in Linux? Is that it? Kinda contradictory don’t you think?

You sound like you have hobbyist level IT nowledge.

Then I should be grateful that my employer is paying me despite my hobbyist level knowledge.

puppy, to fuck_cars in Europe’s politicians are dEsPeRaTe to tackle e-scooters, why aren’t they bothered by monster SUVs?

Every e-scooter is one less Uber on the road. Building bike lanes is the answer, not banning scooters. “Oh the Urbanity” did a fantastic video about it on YouTube, highly recommended.

There’s also a counter argument. Houses are also over regulated with exclusionary zoning. If they like to de-regulate housing then we can start the discussion from there.

puppy, to memes in Just chill, youre harshing my ethnic cleansing

Israel took more than what’s proposed by the UN. Then has been acquiring and occupying more and more illegally, ever since.

Japan’s way, you mean?

puppy, to linuxmemes in My PC is hacked

He’s just a troll. I have seen many comments from this person They’re not even consistent in their opinions. Looks as if they make up shit, probably just asking for attention rather than contributing to the discussion.

puppy, to privacyguides in Inside the deadly instant loan app scam that blackmails with nudes

I live in a place where nude pictures are, at most, an embarrassment

What part of above sentence don’t you understand? If their society (neighbours, employers, friends and family etc.) doesn’t care about nudity, what kind of dire consequences can you have in the wrong hands? If they were photoshopped into doing something illegal, it’s not something that can be avoided at all. So you “caring” doesn’t work either.

puppy, to privacyguides in Inside the deadly instant loan app scam that blackmails with nudes

He/she already said it. It is not a problem in the country/society he lives in. “Just an embarrassment”, they said.

puppy, to asklemmy in How does subscriber count work across lemmy instances?

I am looking for something that goes into technical details from a developer's perspective. How does the ActivityPub protocol structured, how one app receives data from another (e. g. Lemmy to Mastodon), how does an admin de-federates another instance etc.

puppy, to asklemmy in How does subscriber count work across lemmy instances?

Also is there a good tutorial on fediverse that goes into details?
