One of the craziest interactions I have seen was when a Peregrine Falcon attacked a Canada Goose in flight. We were watching the goose fly up canyon and the peregrine must have thought it was too close to its nest or something. Only time I've heard a goose make a sound like that!!
I just took a quick look at All Sides. How does it compare to Media Bias/Fact Check? I don't know how to "fact check" either one of these sources but that's what I have to do so.
I don't know if this is unpopular or not, but I really don't like hearing about folks' medical history. Like yes, I know you have anxiety/diabetes/whatever because you tell me every single time I see you. I, too, have a condition that requires me to take multiple pills everyday for my whole life, but you'd never know it bc I don't make it my identity. I'd rather not, and I'd rather not others who aren't facing death do it. On some cases I guess it speaks to the status of mental health care in my country since it almost seems like a cry for help that I just cannot answer.
I was never a reddit member and so may miss some of that nuance, but I vote for things I enjoyed reading or for folks I enjoyed interacting with. I thought about down voting one thing, but then leaned that group didn't work that way. The whole point was to say something that was against the grain.
This, and the other things I read about (like subscriptions for heated seats) are what will lead to some bizarre third party hack market for cars. Instead of taking a new vehicle to a place for custom pinstriping or whatever, folks will get them privatized.
I don't know about now, but my first Linux OS was Ubuntu and I appreciated the long support because of this. That was in the dial up days, tho, I can't imagine why anyone would require that now ☠️
Wow, big memory trip! It was os/2 warp, I saw that package and knew it!
Dad worked for IBM in the 70s, no surprise. I also remember him having an OS box with a penguin on it but I don't believe he ever installed it. ~95ish.
