sic_semper_tyrannis,

Try OpenMediaServer on a Odroid H3+ and install the programs through Docker containers. Use a Thermal Grizzly Cryosheet instead of thermal paste under your cooler for zero maintenance

Everybody is supporting Firefox, but no one wants to use it. Because it is destroying itself. (discuss.tchncs.de)

Mozilla’s stable browser is not stable enough. especially the Android-based one. They are destroying that amazing browser with every single update. Mozilla converted Firefox from a great-promising browser to a crappy, useless browser. Don’t you think so?

sic_semper_tyrannis,

I use the desktop browser but I agree that the mobile one is sub par

sic_semper_tyrannis,

Ublock Origin as ads have lots of malware these days and browsing the internet is a normal occurance. I think looking at it that way it gets used far more than any other tool.

Tinkered with it a bit, loved the way it looked, loved how fast it is, but I really don’t want to stop on one option and stick with it for a while. I want to try new stuff, new distros (that’s how you call...

sic_semper_tyrannis,

This is not my preferred option (other comment suggestions are more privacy respecting) but just so you have more information, Roku TVs have Miracast built in.

sic_semper_tyrannis,

Using the latest Mint I sometimes connect my Bluetooth ear buds (ISOTunes) and have had no issues.

sic_semper_tyrannis,

A similar experience is what got me into privacy. Time to get off of social media and get rid of apps that have access to your keyboard, mic, files, etc.

sic_semper_tyrannis,

Put your VPN on a device with a fast CPU. That’ll help with speeds. Also be sure you’re using the wireguard protocol

sic_semper_tyrannis,

Thank you. I’ll explore the CLI option. My VPN provider does not offer residential IPs but I hear Proton will be offering dedicated IPs soon and will probably use that in addition to.
