  1. Who asked them to do that?
  2. Who asked them to be the sole provider of that infrastructure? give me the server exec to host locally
  3. They designed it that way to justify this shit. I hope they all get fucked.

Don’t worry there will be some vulnerability with the CPU that they wouldn’t be able to patch out fully.

I love finding other fonts with Code glyphs. It looks like it would look cool on a terminal. I use fira code.

OP said they were not looking for Ubuntu or Arch derivatives, and that they were not afraid to get their hands dirty to figure things out. Slackware + Flatpaks can give a stable base while giving you up-to-date applications when SBo doesnt have the build files. This would give OP a system that just works OOTB. Tho it is KDE OOTB, one can put gnome or cinnamon on it.

Slackware. It just works. Even current is pretty stable

Is it possible to use Google Drive reliably?

I’ve been using Google Drive in Windows for about a decade and have a good workflow. I recently transitioned to Linux but cannot seem to reliably connect my drive to the filesystem. My work provides unlimited Drive space and since it’s for work I have shared directories with coworkers that I need access to every day. Hence,...

But in the climb we are all family right? /s

Those numbers seem really low for a hundred year of shenanigans. I am less concerned by the mountaineers that climbed it alongside Sherpas at one point, and am more poking at the rich dickheads who have created the climb Mt Everest industry where Sherpas make sure everything is safe before the dickhead even wakes up. All just to say they climbed the mountain. So maybe at least use statistics from the current decade. It took another 31 years since the first attempt made for an Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay to succeed.

I thought it was all the Sherpas that died trying to get some rich fuck up there.

Sbopkg has a slackbuild queue generator sqg which builds the dependencies for applications in it for you. apart from that I’m trying to package ROCm.

slacktoid,
@slacktoid@lemmy.ml avatar

Its easy to forget it cause the name is forgettable lol.

yeah basically. Its annoying af to build from source.

yeah i would like to do that but baby steps it needs to build and work.

How many of you run a Linux phone (Pine64, Librem etc) as your daily driver?

I was going through Pine64’s page again after I found the latest KDE announcement. With that said, I seem to see a lot of issues with firmware on the Pine, whilst the Librem is just plain out of budget for me. Was interested in how many people here run a Linux mobile as a daily driver, and how has your experience been?...
