Any instances out there mostly facilitating moderated debate? This could be a big deal. Especially missing great communities on Reddit like CMV, Debate*, *101, etc
This would be amazing. Huge opportunity here but of course some of the highest moderation requirements of any community. Near the levels required for something like r/ask_historians
I’m working on an activism campaign kicking off next week opposing some bad internet bills in the US – here’s the kbin magazine I just set up, and I might set up a Lemmy community as well if that makes sense. I was looking at reddit today, and the front-page felt like nothing happened. I scrolled and scrolled and scrolled and clicked into comments. Everything is popping off buzzing with activity. All the subreddits I was subscribed to that went dark are now back up and business as usual....
