This would be amazing. Huge opportunity here but of course some of the highest moderation requirements of any community. Near the levels required for something like r/ask_historians

Suggestions for activism campaigns on Lemmy and kbin? (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

I’m working on an activism campaign kicking off next week opposing some bad internet bills in the US – here’s the kbin magazine I just set up, and I might set up a Lemmy community as well if that makes sense. Once things get going, we’ll be sharing links including information and actions people can take....

I was recently talking to some friends about Lemmy and the whole Fediverse idea, as it seemed like a really cool part of the Internet. As I was talking about it, though, I realized how unusually friendly this whole place is, and I joked that I “surprisingly haven’t found any bigotry.”...

I would love to see relatively open community registration on these. I’m really inspired by lemdro.id and really like all the little subcommunities.

Even the NYT has been pretty shady recently. Particularly in regards to their trans coverage. Here’s the story from GLAAD and on NPR.

This is crazy to me. All this time there’s been a 20k user instance out there just chilling by itself, and we may all start talking to each other one day.

Reddit feels like it's gone back to 100% normalcy already. Was the protest a failure? (beehaw.org)

I was looking at reddit today, and the front-page felt like nothing happened. I scrolled and scrolled and scrolled and clicked into comments. Everything is popping off buzzing with activity. All the subreddits I was subscribed to that went dark are now back up and business as usual....
