Can’t you use camera on browser? I actually seen a project that does some complex things using camera [1] and it ran in browser. I’m confident scanning bar codes is possible.

How Many Streaming Services Do You Have?

I remember when it was just Hulu for $5 and Netflix for $8. Saved $50 a month from cable. Now it seems we spend more. I have four. Max, Peacock, Paramount and Hulu. Prime doesn’t count because it sucks balls. (Only paying Netflix when next Stranger Things and Squid Game is released). Curious to see what the average...

Why the heck would you build that on residential area anyway? SimCity taught me since I was a kid that industrial factories and windmills shouldn’t be built beside houses

Isn’t it sound pollution instead of visual pollution, though, if anything? I’d rather have that than coal anyway

I actually tried to build Raindrop.io-clone like this one one day, but never got the time to work fully on it… Congrats OP!

I remember someone I know who had COVID didn’t lose sense of taste, but, rather, they felt that everything tastes awful.

I feel like I don’t want it to happen, but maybe artificial general intelligence?

As an information, you can always rely on the wikipedia page for those sites to find the up-to-date domain, so you can avoid it at all cost!!

I’m a software engineer, for stuff that are related to library/programming languages, I usually try to look at the official documentation first. Some of the best documentation pages IMO are: SQLite, PostgreSQL, and Rust book. MDN is good too, like you said. Looking at the source code helps too, especially the test files. I currently write lots of Go (programming language) code, and IMO their test files are so good, and you can learn how some functions behave or how to use it.

Other than that, I actually starting to learn to draw too, and for that I, so far, use drawabox. I think it’s a good starter for learning to draw–as it gives you the most fundemental stuff when drawing. (technically not online, rather a book, but just before opening this thread I found this resource for learning drawing perspective: …archive.org/…/Norling - Perspective Made Easy.pd…)

I also wanted to start playing guitar, but haven’t got the money to buy one, but from what I hear Justin Guitar is a good free online resource. Haven’t used it though

Is there a forum for people who are lonely and sad but specifically not incel sickos?

like you know you’re a good person at heart but life circumstances and trauma and bullying and etc prevented you from learning the proper social skills to find companionship. not necessarily a forum to actually find friends (i find going into things with that intention feels fake and weird), but rather a forum to commiserate...

Doesn’t even have to be strangers. Try messaging an old friend you drifted apart from. Odds are they’d be happy to catch up.

Thank you, I really needed that. I don’t have a lot of friends but I do have some old friend that is kind to me

A-Train DS, or A列車で行こう DS, a Japanese game about managing trains. Basically like Transport Tycoon/OpenTTD, but focuses on Japanese train. It was actually really good, it actually made me obsessed with Japanese trains. Coolest thing about this game is, you can actually “ride” the train you built. It was like a dream come true for childhood me.

Yet, I rarely heard anyone online talks about this game. I really recommend others to play this game… If you can read Japanese as I am not sure that there is English translation for this game…
