sukhmel, to lemmyshitpost in Of the tens of thousands of lies told, I wish this one was true...

Yeah, I know just wanted to be a bit of bummer. TBF Soviet Russia seem to be good for memes or sci-fi but not much else, anyway. Appreciate you being helpful and explaining, though.

Luckily Soviet Russia is gone (for now 🤔) and they seem to let go more easily if you don’t commit some really atrocious crime like spreading stickers in the shop, posting online, or standing on the streets with a Constitution quotes. If you took some millions and ran away, just be diligent and spare some of the money and they couldn’t care less.

This may not reflect the real state of affairs but is a good approximation

He can offer them to run an insurrection in the US if paid enough. >!Then proceed to do nothing and disappear when someone actually asks for results!<

sukhmel, to science_memes in He did though.

My ex-teamlead owns a yacht (if he didn’t sell it). The catch is that yacht is worth about $40 thousands, not $4 millions.

Also there was a person in USSR who built a yacht and circumnavigated the Earth on that, not everyone who do own a yach own that luxury slab of floating gold

For decades may as well be anything from 20 years up, afaik patents may live for 50 years so this seems to work fine

sukhmel, to starwarsmemes in It doesn't always feel good to compare yourself to your parents

Not sure they even called it The Death Star, just Military Artificial Satellite Spaceship

What matters is how it’s going to look on the résumé, not why you got the position 🌚

sukhmel, to memes in Japan is on its own wavelength.

So no more than 10 thousands of Swedes may get an SSN at the same day (or be born at the same day even 🤔)?

We’re also unduly forgetting about truly little endian date format: DD/MM/YYYY, for instance 52/11/3202 for this Saturday

Also we could just sort the numbers and omit leading zeroes, that way we can save some space, the same date would be 1122235

I hope that the comment you answer to was ironical. >!Otherwise there’s no hope for us 😰!<

Excuse me, sir, but WAT?

sukhmel, to comicstrips in I used to think X

Yeah, in such a case it will have an even bigger impact. Just don’t forget to take stuff like vitamins and other supplements that may be sparse after diet change, as it may also affect you

sukhmel, to comicstrips in Alone

Ah, yes, good ol’ gaslighting

Actually, it is a rather life-changing and in some parts dangerous “adventure.” This is mainly because you need to keep a well-balanced diet not to get a lot of health issues, plus there are a lot of questions of what and how to cook that will also require research. All-in-all there are a lot of difficulties and having some support is always good even in minor things.

sukhmel, to memes in You can choose normal, fancy, or wildcard.

I’d rather dub the US variant a wildcard, based on it being the result of mixing English and all the other languages of settlers. Also, the US and its variations are very common and shadow the other variants which is somewhat sad.
