If your goal is to “self-host” a password manager, you might as well use Keepass + SyncThing.
free software
master password protected
has organization and auto-fill features
can sync across multiple devices
Usually the downfall of rolling your own password manager is it’s easier to make mistakes and accidentally lock yourself out. Or if you don’t keep backups/replicas then you could easily lose your passwords.
Yea. I was using bottom until I saw this and did a quick side-by-side comparison (nix-shell -p btop, I use NixOS BTW). btop’s UI is just so much better.
A fact I’ve recently enjoyed spreading around: all of humanity’s radio communications have traveled about 200 light years from Earth. The diameter of the Milky Way galaxy is ~100K light years. So (in the worst case) we’re like 0.2% of the way to even being a “blip on the radar” of any alien life within our galaxy.
