Also, don’t forget to take a look at time shift or w/e it’s called. It’s a tool that creates btrfs system snapshots. It creates them when most updates are installed, and you can make em manually too. Really good if you start setting custom kernel stuff or w/e. Allows easy rollbacks from grub menu.
Fedora or, the ProtonGE guys spin Naburo (spelling?) Is also a good choice.
Just give it a go. I used it for years, and had relatively little issues tbh. Most of them I think are hardware related as I’ll have similar issues in other distros and even windows.
The devs have done some goofs yes. Things like letting certs expire, and as mentioned already, potential issues with aur. But, I remember having aur issues even with vanilla arch in the past.
Using fedora currently though, and I don’t think I’ll switch anytime soon.
I had an unusual lesson from my parents regarding bullies. They told me, that if they found out that the I didn’t even try defending myself from bullies and found out, I’d still get whooped at home. It seems kinda cruel at surface level. But when the time ultimately came, dam straight I fought back tooth and nail. And no, they were not abusive in any way. Even reflecting back as an almost 40yr old adult. They were both prison guards/swat people. So they had a very different perspective of bullying I guess.
In some situations, unfortunately yes. Some schools will take the stupid “zero tolerance” stance so broadly. I do remember a few times growing up that the bullied kid would still get suspended(if they were lucky, at reduced length vs the bully, if enough evidence was available).
Often times (as should be) you’re better off fighting back cuz both are gonna get in trouble.
Ubuntus terminal isn’t really hidden. The root user not being usable (heavily advised against) is a good thing for almost all situations (something I wish windows would also do by default).
Android is built entirely for mobile devices. Ya sure you CAN get it running on other devices, but why?
Friendly interfaces, is subjective tbh. I think I get where you’re coming from.
