tryptaminev,

Seriously how are people not seeing this?

Ever saw a child or teenager trying to act like an adult? Well now try that the other way around. Since you are a smart adult, you might get it done for a day. But for 12 years? You will slip and it will be noticed.

To add insult to injury, after you become grown up, that whole prodigy thing will fall apart, because you weren’t actually all that much smarter than everyone else. You were just X years ahead for a child and that bonus melted with the years. So then you wouldnt be a prodigy, you’d be a failed prodigy and that is if the whole ordeal doesn’t drive you insane in the meantime and you get hospitalized and drugged up for good.

Finally, even if you manage all of that to then buy bitcoins in the day. “Mommy mommy, please let us put 1.000 € in Internet coins that are 50 cents today. They will become worth 50.000 a piece i know it i promise, Mommy please!”. How do you think your mother will react?

tryptaminev,

Most people having cellphones is a thing since at least 20 years. Most of these being smartphones is a thing since at least 10 years.

How would that relate to an increase in drivers killing pedestrians in the past few years and on top of it, lowering levels in most other places

tryptaminev,

the comment criticised that it was refered to as cold. I gave example as to why in this circumstance 16°C are to be considered cold.

tryptaminev, (edited )

politically charged

Is that why there was lightning signs on the German helmets at the time it was still called Stettin?

tryptaminev,

my bad. I had 1996 in my memory, but that was the first Quake.

tryptaminev,

It is closer to the release of the first Doom than it is to today.

tryptaminev,

pretty much everything between ~600 and 1900 and pretty much everywhere from Morrocco to Turkey to Iran.

Just read up on Moors, Ottomans, Iranians, Mail Empire, Islamic culture, science and arts…

A lot of it in Palestine got destroyed by the savage European crusaders though.

tryptaminev,

Our existing antibiotics would be perfectly fine, if they were used responsibly instead of mass breeding resistant bacteria to mass breed animals under terrible conditions because capitalism.

In the same wake climate change would be much easier to deal with if the economic system wasnt designed around infinite growth of production and consumption.

tryptaminev,

I said none of this.

The thesis was that people settled because it was superior in terms of supplying the population back then. All i was saying is that at the time that mustnt have been the case. It was more effective in the capitlaist/imperialist/expansionist mindset that is fucking is over now.

Of course with the current 8 billion people living on earth a nomadic lifestyle is not viable. But that is a very different question from the question if it was viable 10.000 years ago, when there were maybe a few hundred thousand to a few million humans on earthin total.

tryptaminev,

I find this so funny, how a lot of “Boomer media” makes such a fuss about discovering that Gen Z ist also just normal people, with some more progressed ideas and ideals but also tired of being overloaded with information and media.

I think part of it now is that they also realize that half of the fads they have been making up about how the youth of the 2000/2010 era with how sex, violence and drugs craving it alledgely was, were just bullshit.

tryptaminev,

This i can understand though. It is not that the sex itself would be immoral. It is that putting the sex into the context of this violence is immoral.

And i have to say i find this important. Sex to me is an expression of affection with my partner and “sacred” for that. I don’t want it tainted with the banality of pornography or the psychotic issues that make people connect sex and violence.
