Want more GNU in Linux, so Guix, btw. पूंजीपति will be sent to corrective labour camp.

GuixSD is the best distro. Since I’m too stupid to understand Scheme, so I resort to using NixOS.

velox_vulnus,

OP is the dev for both Jerboa and Lemmy, btw.

velox_vulnus,

I wish I could be a child again. All I can think of right now I killing myself.

India, Greenland, Greece and Turkey are the four countries with the fastest growth of Linux users. I’ve checked their neighbouring countries, and it looks like they are still in the 1-2% range.

velox_vulnus,

How about the other way around? I want to switch to Guix, but I want to keep using Nixpkgs for the time being?

velox_vulnus,

Hello, I’ve updated the map. Antarctica is now visible, but you’ll be disappointed.

I looked for it for, like, a hour or so, but couldn’t find the scanned copies.

Thank you for your effort, but it looks like someone will have to create a scanned archive haha.

I tried to email those folks, but never got a reply back. Kinda irritating, but as a last resort, I think I’m gonna have to ask for permission from the university where the books are currently available, travel to the physical location myself, borrow a camera, and archive the scans on the internet.

Apparently, this dictionary is said to the most comprehensive for any Dravidian language, and has been awarded the Gundert Award. It is kind of frustrating that I did not know about this work before, because right now, I am using Mariappa Bhatt and Shankar Kedilya’s dictionary, which isn’t that comprehensive, and also lacks IPA guides for character phonetics.

Right now is not the best time for me, because I am jobless, and have some monetary issues right now. I am trying to create a open-source WordNet (yes, there is one already available, but I could not find the data) to prepare this for when resource-poor languages can be successfully introduced to LLMs.

For someone who hates these “Linux boomers”, you’re using Wordpress, which uses the good old PHP.

Shouldn’t you be working on your own minimal Gopher website or something like Rust-SWC, with all that fancy hydration and hybrid SSR-SSG framework?

People can have opinions. You, on the other hand, need to mind your business.

And yes, I’ll take your advice and move over to Guix. Shepherd and Guille looks pretty fine to me.

Bro, what?

I drink sachet coffee worth one rupee, with thin, water-added milk.

How the fuck are you all communist with these fancy, expensive machines, high-grade beans and thick cream?

Edit: yes, I drink the powder too. Too poor to afford filter paper.

velox_vulnus,

Also a noob, but from what I understand, Vulkan is more low-level.

Printing a gradient triangle using C, in OpenGL, takes about a few 100-130 lines - it could be lesser, I think. In Vulkan, it takes about a thousand lines.

Source: I wrote a “simple” gradient triangle in Vulkan, using C during my free time. Created the gradient triangle in C as a part of my university coursework.

I really like this update, because it will force people to check better alternatives. Also, I don’t use Discord because I have no friends.

Looking for the concept tracks for the project-in-hold game 'We Shall Wake'

I’m trying to find the concept tracks by Rafael Langoni Smith for the game ‘We Shall Wake’. So far, I’ve been able to find only two soundtracks (Title and Temper), but they’re in MP3 format. It also looks like the composer removed them from their Bandcamp account. They’re also not on any other artist-based social...

velox_vulnus,

Just torrent it lol. Or try playing Veloren.

velox_vulnus,

Oh no, dearie, you lost your fake internet points? I feel so sad for you…not.

  • "This was made with C? Mind == blown!"
  • The dev has their own website, cool :-)
  • Click on random links across page without reading, come across a page about learning C-lang
  • Page is something about suckless world or something, yeah I guess there’s too many conspiracy-theory idiots out there, maybe bro is calling them out?

Wion is a subsidary of Essel Group, and a right-wing, populist mouthpiece. They’re responsible for spreading hate in India against the minority groups.

velox_vulnus, (edited )

Here’s the reason why you were banned (open this on a browser).

You’re spreading a bunch of low-grade conspiracy nonsense related to climate geo-engineering - something about chemtrail (this is the first time I am hearing about this weird conspiracy, so I do not know the exact depth and width of what other nonsense you might believe in).

Any mod would want to do their due diligence to not make their users look like a bunch of lunatics. In my opinion, they have done their job properly. Misinformation is at it’s highest, you need to learn to verify your sources first.

You can appeal for an account restoration in the Matrix server, but is it worth the effort? Just make a new account, and don’t repeat the conspiracy shenanigans.
